This is a tough one. I'm having a hard time deciding between Diabolique, Them!, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Hmm...

    2.The Night of the Hunter
    3.Eyes Without a Face
    4.Diabolique
    5.Night of the Demon

  3. I picked Night of the Demon, my second choice would be Invasion of the Body Snatchers. My favorite sci-fi would be Day the Earth stood Still, and second choice War of the Worlds and third Forbidden Planet.

i voted for creature from the black lagoon- i wished i could have seen it when it was originally out in 3-D - not that back then it probably would have been anything spectacular

Fine films all ! A lot of them straddle the table between sci-fi and horror.I had to go with THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN.It's still a remarkably bold film,it broke taboos and it feature a star making turn by Peter Cushing, one of the great men of horror.Fisher was one of the most underrated directors in the genre, nearly all of his horror pics hold up very well.

CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON--love the others I've seen too, but the Creature was always one of my favorite monsters growing up.

NIGHT OF THE HUNTER is a damn good movie too. Need to check out some more from this decade.

I've only seen 4 on that list (I know!). And the best I thought was The Blob. Always scared me as a kid.

While I think Diabolique and Night of the Hunter are better movies, I went with Invasion of the Body Snatchers for the more 'horror' theme.

Am I the only one that enjoyed "The House of Wax"? Granted, I'm not knocking anything else, (being a big fan of "The Thing", and "Night of the Hunter" in particular), but Vincent Price was just plain great.

Other: The Killer Shrews. Funny, but creepy too! One of the most underrated horror films imo, all because it can be found on bargain dvds. :(

You have Eyes Without A Face listed but isn't it from 1960? I think it should be Fiend Without A Face.

I'm no expert here, I just looked up Eyes and it said 1960.

When I created the poll IMDB listed it at 1959. I'm not sure what has changed since then.

Almost voted for Eyes Without A Face, but decided to go with The Blob.
Maybe not the best movie here, but it never fails to make me smile.
