    I've only seen roughly half the films on this list so I'll hold off judgement just yet.

    Diabolique gets my vote. Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Blob were a lot of fun.

    I'm going with Horror of Dracula. All of the Hammer horrors are worth seeing. They just seem to understand the genre. And their best films are great examples of what horror films should feel like.

    All things considered, I still consider HoD and the BBC Dracula with Louis Jourdan the best filmed versions of the story. And the 1-2 punch of Curse of Frankenstein and HoD obviously steered the genre back toward gothic horrors.

    I have a lot of love for the Creature as well.
