No question for me, The Devil's Rejects! I didn't think Haute Tension was released in American theatres. I thought they tinkered around with it and renamed it. Either way, High Tension and Land Of The Dead were great, but just not as great. The only other one I saw in theatres was Ring Two (due to the free ticket) and it sucked. I caught Boogeyman and Constantine on video and those were both pretty decent, but nothing compared to my top three.

    1.Haute Tension
    2.The Devil's Rejects
    3.Land of the Dead
    4.House of Wax
    5.The Amityville Horror

Devil's Rejects. It is a classic that will stand the test of time.

A tough choice between High Tension and The Devil's Rejects.

I think I'll give the edge slightly to The Devil's Rejects, since High Tension suffered from the strange dub/sub experiment.

It was hard to pick between Haute Tension and The Devil's Rejects, but I went with Rejects as it had a stronger effect on me.

Went with Land, but have not seen Rejects yet. From the response here, I'll be sure to check it out though.

The Devil's Rejects by many miles. Haute Tension comes in second for sure though. And Land in third.

I voted for Land of the Dead, but have not seen Devils Rejects yet -- which I'm equally excited about seeing, as much as I was Dead.

Went with Haute Tension as I've seen very little of the others... and have hated most of them. Dark Water was a very close second, but I don't consider it a horror film.

    Devil's Rejects got my vote.
I didn't get to see Haute Tension all the way through but what I saw I did like. Land of the Dead was ok but Haute Tension looked better.
    Amityville made this list?

Ok now, which do you really think is the best:)

I'm kidding but seriously. I thought it was pretty good for a remake, but would you really place it ahead of The Devil's Rejects, Haute Tension and Land of the Dead?

I didn't think any other film will get a vote over the "Big Three"

I voted for The Devil's Rejects. At first I had to think about it a little because I really liked High Tension, but I'm not a big fan of the ending. Rejects in the end had the biggest effect on me, and wasn't overhyped to death like High Tension. Also I knew about the end of High Tension by accident thanks to those idiots on the imdb.com message boards. Well here is my top 5:

    1.The Devil's Rejects
    2.High Tension
    3.Constantine
    4.Land of the Dead
    5.Amityville Horror/Alone in the Dark(FUNNY)

I havn't seen House of Wax,Dominion,Hide and Seek,Boogyman, or Dark Water yet.

This is the best year, overall, for horror films in a long time. I've seen:

    The Amityville Horror
    Constantine
    The Devil's Rejects
    Land of the Dead
    House of the Wax
    High Tension

and the only one I really hated was House of Wax. I think either Land of the Dead or Devil's Rejects were the best.

Ya know, I really liked Land of the Dead, and it was a nice addition to the quadrilogy, but Rejects is just so damn awesome. I would consider it to be the first classic film since 2000. I know alot of you might have a beef with that, but this lean & mean fucker is gonna have staying power I'm tellin' ya. I see myself watching the DVD alot once released. There have been some great horror films released since the turn of the century, but I think this one is the real deal.

I absolutely hated Haute Tension. I saw Land of the Dead last night, got my vote (although could have been much better)

I can see someone maybe not agreeing with the director’s decision about going with the
    final twist
, but other then that. I have no clue how some could hate Haute Tension.

I voted for Land of the Dead. It was an easy decision for me.
