"Poltergeist" already lost 5-1 dude.
Just a thought....
Maybe it's because I'm at work all day but who else thinks this tournament is moving waayy too fast? I'm gone for 8 hours and I've missed 2 brackets! Giving bracket a couple days life to linger for everyone to decide and vote who be cool. Also the first to 5 system is kind of um....well...
Do to the rulz, I must skip on both brackets since I've only seen Death Game.
Alright, sorry for the rushing, I just thought I'd keep things moving at a speedy rate so people wouldn't get bored. But if you guys want it to slow down a little, then that is what I will do. I could also extend the number of votes needed from 5 to 8 if that is more fair, but I just think that there will be cases, as with the two brackets up right now, where people haven't seen the films and there won't be enough votes.
We'll go with 8 and I will leave the voting open for each matchup for a day or so...sounds good?
so are we startin over? or what?
maybe delete the thread and start fresh? so people dont get confused with what is already up there
PRINCE OF DARKNESS
THE WICKER MAN.
Haven't seen DEATH GAME, so no comment there.
I think it's good to keep up at a speedy pace. This way it'll be over in less than a month. Nobody wants this going on forever. I say keep up the pace rhett. But that's just me.....
I think DefJeff got a point.
My suggestion: 5 or 6 brackets (or more) at once each day, would also speed things up.
It would just be a waste to start over again. I've given the current brackets over a day for people to vote on them now, and the highest consensus on any film is 4 votes. So I really think it will be tough to increase the voting necessary to 8 votes a piece unless more people start voting.
I think what I will do is leave the voting open for a day or so for each set and then call it. So rather than a vote quota, we will just work on time instead. For the first round I will have 4 brackets each time for Round 1, 3 brackets for Round 2, etc.
Just got here, but everything I would've voted for has moved on.
I haven't seen Rosemary's Baby since I was one, and never saw Death Game so I can't vote this round.
Cool post though, I'll be checking back.
Rosemary's Baby and Prince of Darkness move on with 5 and 3 votes, respectively.
Moving on, with the next four brackets for voting:
Round One, Bracket Five
Round One, Bracket Six
The Fly (1986)
Round One, Bracket Seven
Evil Dead Trap
Round One, Bracket Eight
Dawn of the Dead
This is better I think. I think this will help the tournament catch on to the rest of the board members who haven't heard yet. Good job rhett.
Round One, Bracket Five (skip)
Round One, Bracket Six (Motel Hell)
Round One, Bracket Seven (skip)
Round One, Bracket Eight (Dawn of the Dead)
round one, bracket 5 - Dead Alive
round one, bracket 6- skip
round one, bracket 7- skip
round one, bracket 8- Dawn of the Dead
yea Rhett, your doin a good job, i think this will be better, like mentioned above
EVIL DEAD TRAP
DAWN OF THE DEAD
SUSPIRIA is the only one I can vote for.
5 - Dead Alive
6 - The Fly
7 - Evil Dead Trap
8 - Dawn of the Dead (tough call)
Dawn of the Dead
Bracket 5: DEAD/ALIVE
Bracket 6: THE FLY
Bracket 7: skip (never seen EVIL DEAD TRAP)
Bracket 8: DAWN OF THE DEAD (toughie!)
Only one I can vote on for sure is Dawn Of The Dead / Suspiria.
I literally haven't seen Motel Hell since junior high, and can't remember Duel. Haven't seen E.D. Trap either.
Looks like Dawn Of The Dead already won, but it gets my vote too. Suspiria is great, but Dawn is more fun!
(just noticed that my avatar is also named Dawn. No double meaning implied in last statement about Dawn being more fun, cuz I haven't met her yet and can't say for sure, but odds are....)
(I'm drunk and talking stupid shit now, please ignore any other 5-08 am posts from me, youse fuckin .....................)
