My Vote: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Well, this is the 500th post in this thread, and this post will also determine who has a one in four chance of winning. In another frustrating matchup, The Evil Dead ties 7-7 with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, forcing me to do another coin toss. After a hesitant flip...The Texas Chainsaw Massacre slices its way into the Final Four. I am pretty sure though, that most of us would have been happy if either of the films advanced. Because of such a tough loss for The Evil Dead, I think that everyone next matchup should include an Ash one-liner with their vote out of respect. Round Five, Bracket Two A Nightmare On Elm Street vs. The Thing
The Thing. Why only one bracket at a time? Speed it up and finish the contest. Shop smart, shop S-mart
Hmm The Thing All the Ash one liners that jumped to my mind have been taken, but I will go watch Army of Darkness and edit one in later. Edit: Buckle Up Bone Head, Cause you're going for a ride. Max
I did the one bracket thing to slow it down a bit. There are only five brackets left, so I wanted to make it a little longer so the ending wouldn't be so rushed. Next matchup I will do two brackets, but I've got to slow it down to one bracket a match as soon as we get into the final four. Hope that is better!
My Vote: The Thing "It's a trick...get an axe." John Carpenter's The Thing morphs into the Final Four as it demolishes A Nightmare On Elm Street with a 10-3 victory. I was expecting a better showing from Mr. Fred E. Krueger, but I guess the 40 year old burn victim just aint what he used to be. An ass kicking in the final rounds is tough to take, so we should all give ANOES some respect by naming our favorite murder sequence from the series in our next vote. Round Five, Bracket Three Dawn of the Dead vs. Friday the 13th Round Five, Bracket Four Halloween vs. The Shining
Dawn Of The Dead The Shining Favorite Murder Sequence in A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: Johnny Depp's cool bed-of-blood death.
5,3 Dawn of the Dead 5,4 Halloween I, like HellybillyDeluxe, nominate the bed jet of blood sequence from the first (and best) Elm Street. Original and jaw-dropping stuff.....
Dawn of the Dead Halloween Nightmare on Elm Street 3- Freddy controlling the kid who loves puppets. It's very freaky when all the veins and sinews come out of the kid's body so that Freddy can control him. Cool stuff indeed.
