What actor in a remake horror film best fit the role of the actor in the original flim? My vote went to Tony Todd for NOLTD 90.

I thought this would be a weak poll, but man, there are some good performances here! I prefer Tallman over O'Dea (who I thought was horrible), but even better are Russell, Todd and Glover. I'll go with Russell, just because it was the least showy and most effective. Good poll!

Kurt Russel for sure, although I really liked Jessica Biel and Crispen Glover in their remake roles as well.

Crispin Glover, with Russell a close second. I really think Glover did a great job as Willard. His innate eccentricity really added to the role. Though I must admit, I never saw the original Willard, I doubt I will like it as much as the remake.

Great poll...and tough as nails to make a pic. Don't really like Vaughn as Bates too much, but all the others are good. Tony Todd gets my vote. It's his best performance, and yes I like it better than Candyman which is still a classic little film.

Kurt Russell added so much to that character. I'm hoping "if" a sequel to The Thing comes along that Kurt gets pulled on board.

Kurt Russel, The Thing wouldn't be the film it is without him.

It's a toss up between Todd and Russel, I think I'm going to have to go with Todd. Tawny, you have to see the original Willard immediately.

This was a close one but I had to go with Kurt Russell in The Thing. He was great in that but a very close seceond was Patricia Tallman in The remake of Night of the Living Dead. I was happy when Barabara was pulled out of the house by the zombie version of Johnny in the original. She was horrible. I wanted to slap her and feed her to the zombies.

Crispin Glover, this one was almost a no-brainer for me. Russel's character seemed totally unique to that paticular film, the Thing, never seemed like a remake.

The only true close second was Andrew as Leatherface but since the name was even changed...
