Suspiria for me with Blood and Black Lace being a close second.
Sorry, but I've always thought that The Beyond was way overrated.
    To each his own.

I finally went with The Beyond. It was a tough choice but I finally just said fuck it, does it really matter what I pick in the grand scheme of things afterall?

Well, since Black Sabbath petered out, i'm glad to see that Black Sunday and Blood and Black Lace got some love. My vote was hinging between Blood and Black Lace and Black Sabbath anyway, so...GO BAVA!!! Actually I'm a fan of every selection on this list -- except for Cannabal Holocaust which I've never seen (sadly), so it's all good.

By the way, Cannibal Holocaust is available at Revok.Com for $21.99, but I heard it's on DVD-R. Is anyone familier with this place and / or any details where I might be able to pick up Cannibal Holocaust?

And the band name it inspired is almost reason enough!

    However, I picked Black Sunday.

Okay, I finally voted and yeah, it was for Suspiria. I almost voted for Deep Red or The Beyond, and even weighed voting for Inferno to show it some love, but I weighed them in my mind and Suspiria still had that little extra something for me. I hate even voting against any of these, to be honest, but y'know, all in the name of fun. :D

Most definitely, its one of the greats of the genre. Creepy as hell too, due in large part to the score.

The Beyond got my vote, laughable special effects in all their cheesy-ness! :D

Goddammit! I so want to vote in this poll, but I've only seen 7 of the films listed and those are Suspiria, Inferno, Tenebrae (thanx again SaviniFan, you rule!), Opera, Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, Zombi 2, and The Beyond. Hell, I've never even seen a Mario Bava film so HOW COULD I possibly even consider voting in this. Oh yeah, I remember, if Santa Sangre counts as Italian (I know it was in the Spanish poll, but I had to go with The Devil's Backbone there, and it wasn't it an Italian production?.), I'd vote for that for sure.

Ok first thing is you need to take a deep breath and relax. Second thing is this is just a silly internet poll, nothing is gonna come crashing down if you vote for anyone of these over another. Feel better now? :)

Nope, I still haven't seen a Bava film (Lamberto doesn't count).

Suspiria, my favorite Argento film. Other favorites here are Black Sabbath, Black Sunday, Lizard in a Woman's Skin, and The Beyond.

Wow...didn't realize this poll was so old. I can see by my 2 year old post above that I picked Black Sunday. I would probably still pick it, even though I really like Deodato's films now as well as some other gialli.

Surprised to see Suspiria win by such a decisive margin because I thought more people thought it was overrated. Although I have a soft spot for it since it was the first Eurohorror film I ever bought, back in early November 2001.
