While it probably wouldn't qualify, as it's only part of a trilogy of stories, I just wanted to throw some love out to the muppet rats from Trilogy of Terror II.

As for the actual poll, I haven't seen enough of them to feel comfortable about voting.

    Rats! :(

I'm going to pick one no one did. Even though it's from an anthology I loved the segment from Nightmares.

Sorry, gotta go for the obvious choice: Willard (2003). It has Crispin Glover, man!

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll ask here:

I remember seeing an anthology film on the Sci-Fi channel when I was younger. I don't remember anything from the first two stories, but the third featured a family terrorized by a giant rat in their walls. When it was shown, it was bigger than the family combined, and I remember it being friendly once the terror died down. I also remember there being a lightning storm when it was revealed. Anyone know what flick that was?

Sounds like NIGHTMARES (from 1983 I think). The segment was called "Night of the Rat" and featured Richard Masser and Veronica Cartwright. The movie was originally made for tv but they decided to beef up the violence a bit with an early murder scene and give it a theatrical release.Anchor Bay put a DVD of it out several years ago,out of print I think.

Thanks a bundle. I don't have a compelling urge to see it again, but if I see it anywhere I'll pick it up.

Yep, it's definitely Nightmares. It co-starred the little girl from Savannah Smiles (R.I.P.)

The Anchor Bay DVD is long out of print. I'm glad that I own it!
