I would have liked to see David Hess and Jeff Combs make it farther but I'm not disagreeing with the final outcome, Bruce Campbell is fun watching and did excellently in Evil Dead 2. I'm afraid if we have a female horror performance tournament it'll turn into a "who's the hottest" tournament.
I'm suprised Jake Gyllenhaal didn't make it further, I loved his performance in Donnie Darko. Wait, was he even in the tournament? I remember him being on that list before the tournament started. hmmmm
Hell man, Kurt would have suited me fine. Bruce Campbell is great at what he does farce/slapstick, but I don't think he is very versatile. He delivered some good lines in Evil Dead, etc. But Bruce is a good actor and deserved a win IMO. There's no way Bruce Campbell could stand up to Christopher Lee, Udo Kier, Peter Cushing, and more among the list. His range is limited, even as Ash. Hell man, if I wanted someone on this pedestal right now because of a character they played then I WANT MAL ARNOLD AS FUAD RAMSES!
Hahaha yeah, maybe she'll jump out another cake for us?! :eek1: Or blow us some balloons for the party. Not that there's anything wrong in that.
Bruce on top, just like my dreams. That is what I am talking about. The outcome was never really that much in doubt. Who would I have liked to see get further and then lose to Bruce? Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowell in Fright Night, Robert Brian Wilson from Silent Night, Deadly Night, Jake from Donnie Darko, Terry O'Quinn in the Stepfather 1 and 2, and someone from Scanners. But forget the lot of them, Bruce won and it is all good. I can't wait for the ladies tournament. This was fun. Thanks rhett.
