Retribution is from Kiyoshi Kurosawa, so it's already a million times better than anything else here. I've had a bootleg copy laying around, but I've yet to watch it. It looks like a return to his Kairo and Kyua style.

Yay keep us updated all the time with these! Sometimes Lionsgate has some funny low budget movies, and also some decent ones as well. Ghost Watcher 1 and 2 were good.

Yes, it sucked...and I don't even feel the need to elaborate any further on why.

Avoid Left for Dead. What a sleeper that was.

You actually wanted to see Part 2 after the first? I thought the first one was terrible.

I've had this DVD sitting around forever, but finally just watched it. I was really into the first 30 minutes or so, when it's a suburban teen slasher movie. But eventually, the focus drifts to a female detective and a sleuthing grandpa, and my focus drifted away with it. Shame, it could have been fun. At least the gore was decent.

Strangely enough, I had seen the entirely unrelated sequel. It's found footage, and follows a group of teens on a scavenger hunt through LA, visiting haunted houses and murder scenes (I remember they go to Wattles Mansion where Ghoulies was filmed). After an hour or so of this, they eventually wind up in a haunted house. I actually remember liking it, but I'm mildly obsessed with Los Angeles and filming locations. I'd imagine if you're not, you'd be bored out of your mind.
