I've been meaning to get this for a while, do any of you guys own it?

If so, what did ya think of it? Did it give the hardcore fan's info they never knew about??

I want to get it but I'm scared it may just talk about the usual stuff I know.

    WHat do you guys think?

Yeah, I have the hardcover. It's a beautiful book with a lot of great essays and such. Some of the information may seem repetitive, but it's full of good stuff.

If you're remotely interested in Fulci, it's a must have. Since it covers his entire career, there is a lot of talk about films you're not likely to have ever seen or heard about. Tons of pictures, interesting text. You won't be disapointed.

Profondo Argento from FAB Press is a must too.

    I second that!

Not a Fulci-man myself.I only like his older (IMHO better) stuff.
But the "tons of pictures" really do sound nice.

I remember looking for this when it first came out and finding it was almost impossible for me to find... does anyone know where I can get it?

Many pages are given over to an analysis of his films - both symbolically and historically. It's a good read.

It's being reissued (revised & expanded) by FAB Press:

    (Pictures at the above links)

They are launching an Indiegogo campaign on May 24th, which is apparently the only way to pre-order the "Special Edition"

It does look amazing judging from the pictures alone, but I'm sure this will be pricey...especially shipped from the UK.

I have a limited hard cover but all the additions sound like it will be well worth upgrading.

I placed an order as well. Nice to see that they already have over 4 times the amount they were hoping to raise.

Make some room on your bookshelf -- FAB Press are reissuing Stephen Thrower's essential BEYOND TERROR: THE FILMS OF LUCIO FULCI in a revised and expanded edition sure to please any fan of the genre-hopping director's splat-happy oeuvre. If you missed out the first time, it's a no-brainer, but if you already have the old edition, you may be swayed by new chapters, additional information, a slew of extra rare photos, and more. As a critical examination of Fulci's work, from butt-biting sex comedies to bullet-spraying spaghetti Westerns, from hallucination-fueled gialli to eyeball-piercing gore epics, it's simply unparalleled.

FAB Press have created a crowdfund campaign to help alleviate printing costs and gauge interest, but they needn't have worried -- contributors have already blown through their initial goal in record time. But that's no reason not to kick in, and there are several exclusive perks to help entice, including an exclusive Fulci Trailer Compilation DVD, signed posters, shirts and plenty more. Swing on by, give it a look, and tell 'em Cinema Arcana sent you!

11 days to go, and it looks like it will certainly pass £70k, and perhaps £80 before the end.

They just crossed £80,000, so a full Stephen Thrower commentary track on the Fulci Trailers DVD will be recorded and included.

2 days left in the campaign now before it closes for good.
