Okay i have the Blu Ray briefcase set and the Final Cut is the only version I have watched so far so I think I'm safe. I would be pissed to find out there was something wrong with my set as it's almost impossible to find the briefcase set anymore. Although I guess the discs themselves are the same as the normal boxed set so i could always go that route if I do have any problems in the future.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that there was also a problem with the Briefcase set (not all copies) when it was released having an HD-DVD of disc 5 instead of a Blu-ray disc.

    Haha wow that would SUCK!!!

I have the thicker one and I know I got all 5 discs, so I'm good. (Although, I like the look of the thinner packaging.)

Hmm... I'll have to double check that, but I'm pretty sure mine's fine. Well, at least from the disc cover it is as it says Blu Ray. I'll have to make sure it plays in the PS3 tonight.

Why is "Beyond the Door" DISCONTINUED?
    According to DVDPacific it is:
    http://www.dvdpacific.com/item.asp?ID=1008560

    Something wrong?

    Edit:This is a BCI Eclipse/Code Red DVD,am I right?
With BCI closing down would this mean the end of Code Red?

No, Code Red isnt closing. Bci got shut down by Navarre. But Code Red is going to release Pets, Night Warning, and Butcher Baker, Nightmare Maker soon. And hopefully Nightmare will get released quickly.

Thank God I picked up Beyond the Door when I did. :)
Now for Dead Pit and Sweet Sixteen, and I'll be safe. :)

I could care less about a 2-disc edition of Beyond the Door. I finally watched this the other night and thought it was horrible. Not even good in a so-bad-it's-good way.

I just wish Code Red would bump up Messiah of Evil to the top of its release schedule.

My boss saw it and was bored by it, I thought it was a lot of fun... funny how different opinions can be...

I know- I see other folks talking positively about Beyond the Door on this thread whom I recognize from this forum and I know we share plenty of other favorite horror films. This just isn't one of them. I almost turned it off halfway through, but forced myself to watch till the end. I gave it a fair shot, it just didn't do it for me on any level.

I give it 5/10. The movie.
    The package, an 8.5/10.

I thought there were some spot-on signature moments that made it fun, however, overall it was incredibly silly and....I hate to say, because someone will interrogate me...hehe...but it was pointless. At least we got that so-70s "Bargain with the Devil". I think it's worth a watch, and for completists, get this damn DVD! Otherwise, a purchase isn't wise. Then again, I highly support Code Red...so disregard that last part and get it. :D

Finally got around to watch this one tonight. Was rather disappointed with the actual movie, it was pretty boring and just never really got anywhere, but as always Code Red did an awesome job on the DVD.

The movie's alright at best, but it was a definite must-buy for me. The local convenience store had a video section with the old Dead Pit case that had the light-up eyes and so it was a huge nostalgia thing for me to actually buy it on DVD. Owning stuff from my childhood is one of the main appeals of my DVD collection, so this was right up my alley.
