Literally! Sad news...I read he had a fatal stroke due to complications from heart surgery. Realized not too long ago he was in the The Terminator '84...too young...R.I.P.

R.I.P. Bill. :( He could do comedy, and everything left and right of it. A fine actor.

Cardiac surgery can unfortunately often go this way. My godmother also died following complications from it.

    Loved him in Aliens.
My friend just reminded me we sat next to Bill Paxton one night during a performance of Evil Dead-The Musical in Montreal many years back.
Sadly I have no recollection of this.
    Great actor.

Shocking. He seems like he would have been a fun guy just to hang out with. Pretty much impossible to be a genre fan and not have seen him in something. Gotta give a shout-out to Frailty, one of his few times in the director's chair. Really nicely done horror film.

Yeah this definitely sucks. One of those actors that had no trace of Hollywood snob in him. RIP Bill.
