Now if only the transfer is solid this is a day 1 purchase. Katatonia are you going to order this version too? So where can we order this DVD from Amazon somewhere else?
Only if the transfer is better or if it's more uncut. I've seen enough DVD's before that were labelled as "Special Edition" and were far from it...some even being barebones.
Studio S usually puts the Special Edition label on discs that actually deserves it. So hopefully it´s uncut and got some some nice goodies on the disc. An interview with Mats Helge Olsson and/or Easy Action (that made an reunion a while back) would be fun Edit: I sent a message to Seo, the manager of the label and asked about the transfer and uncut status. I´ll be back when I get the answer
I´m going to buy it for sure. I always buy my NJUTA and STUDIO S editions from here: http://www.subdvd.com/
You wanted something special??? You´ve got it... - Newly recorded interview with Easy Action´s Peo Thyrén and Bo Stagman talking about filming (26 min) - "A Hot Summer Night" promotional film with Easy Action (50 min) - We Go Rocking (videoclip) - Easy Action illustrated discography - VHS cover gallery of Mats Helge Olsson cult classics. - Original trailer - Photo gallery - "A Hard Boiled" (easter egg) - Limited edition bonus CD single with Easy Action´"We Go Rocking" (The newly recorded version of the original cover art. The single was supposed to be released to their planned comeback in 2008, but was never published. Only included in this first 1000 copies).
^^The release date was changed to 9/19. Do we know if it's uncut? Where can people in the US buy it? thx Did you hear back?
^^ My bad. Earlier, I searched for "Blood Tracks" and found nothing. Scrolling to the bottom of the page I now see "Bloodtracks". Unfortunately its Out of Stock?
Yes, I finally got an answer from Seo (the owner of the label) last week, and it is the full uncut version Very excited about this
Arrived today... Limited Edition... DVD + CD Single. In a few moments I´ll list the specks and the comparison screens with the German CMV edition.
No, I live in Europe. Ordered on the 18th. I payed 16 euros. Full screen... and two posts before mine you can see it´s uncut.
OK, before the screencaps, the specks: The Studio S version of the film is 1:24:59. The German CMV version of the film is 1:24:58. While the running time is somehow identical, possibly meaning the prints were struck from the same souce, the German CMV version has a little bit less definition than the Studio S version. Extras: - "Blood Saving": Interview Peo Thyrén (25:59 min) (not english friendly) - "A Hot Summer Night" promotional film with Easy Action (49:52 min) (great extra, has an 80s mini concert, studio promos and videoclips) (english friendly) - We Go Rocking (03:58 min) (videoclip) (english friendly) - Original trailer (01:59 min) (non-anamorphic widescreen) (english friendly) - Photo gallery (04:01 min) - Easy Action discography (00:57 min) - Mats Helge Films VHS covers (02:02 min) - The Ninja Mission trailer (02:19 min) (easter egg) (english friendly) - Easy Action´s "We Go Rocking" Cd Single (limited to the first 1.000 copies) I already took screens from both versions but I´m gonna eat and will upload them after dinner... see ya in a few!
Looks about the same as the CMV version, how disappointing especially since there's a letterboxed trailer on there.
The CMV version has less definition, but that probably has to do with the encoding. The letterboxed trailer doesn´t mean nothing... movie and trailer always come from different sources. Maybe it was easy to find a letterbox print of the trailer than a letterbox print of the movie itself. MENU SCREENS FROM THE TRAILER
