Anyone seen this slasher?? I have heard comments about that it is okay, but a really fun movie?? For those who have seen it, whats it about, and gory is it??

It's a fun little film that I've always liked. The plot is basically about several babies born on the same day; which also happened to have an eclipse, all evil...yet they appear as good little munchkins about 10-11 years later. I wouldn't say it's gory really, but has some interesting kill scenes.

Look for a topless scene with Julie Brown (Earth Girls Are Easy, Just Say Julie).

It's worth a watch, but I thought it was just OK - nothing to get excited about. I was expecting a little more. Two of the kids are the same ones that are in the beginning of Hospital Massacre.

Of the killer kiddie flicks it's certainly no VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED, but it walks circles around DEVIL TIMES FIVE. It's well shot, well put together, and the kiddie performances are all pretty solid. The refrigerator stuff is also pretty brutal.

Yeah. I used to have this on DVD, but sold it. Doesn't have much replay value, IMO. It's okay, but nothing special.

I used to have the VHS copy of this movie. But I purged my VHS collection. The only redeeming thing about this movie is Julie Brown's nude scene.

See, I actually really like this film.

I think that the plot is kinda different from the other slashers at the time, but I think it fits in because it follows the rules well....plenty of gore, decent amount of T&A and inventive kills.

I was struck by the film when I saw it on the Horror Channel......
    Weirdly I really like it....

I just watched this one tonight and was surprised with how entertaining it was. Despite the T&A, it felt and looked like a made for tv movie. I now have a couple of more reasons to like Julie Brown now.

Checked this out last night and had a fun time with it. Some nice sleazy scenes and I liked the use of a gun as a weapon something that is underused in horror films. Glad I picked it up at the recent VCI sale.

This movie is great but really needs a special edition or even a proper edition DVD. I have both the VCI and Anchor Bay DVDs and unfortunetely both have heavy and persistant static throughout many scenes. The static is in the exact same spots on both DVDs so this may be a result of print damage. The VHS does not feature the annoying static noise and the print is actually much brighter and better in my opinion.

I found the night scenes overly dark on the VCI. Is the Anchor Bay version any better?

You're right. The night scenes are very much so overly dark on the VCI. The Anchor Bay version is not any better. I got this on import from the UK thinking the picture quality might be better and that the audio track would not be screwed up but I was wrong. The region 2 AB release does have a 5.1 track but the audio STILL features the static! I'm only keeping it for the cool cover and the interview (same interview on VCI).

I already have 3 editions (even an old VHS I bought in the mid 80's) of The Baby so I'll be holding off on that one. But I hope everyone else gets to see it to revel in the glory that is Ruth Roman!!!!

Awesome! I'm sure Severin's release will destroy the old VCI transfer.

Sweet! I own Bloody Birthday, but if it's a much needed improvement, I'll pick it up.

And Nightmares is so hilariously cheesy! I bought the Stage Fright VHS of it about a year ago. I loved it. Gory and ridiculous! About time. I've been waiting for its debut on R1 for a long time. Getting this one for sure!

I believe Stage Fright has already been released on R1 by Anchor Bay and in its full uncut version too. Though by now it may be out of print. I am so looking forward to the re-release of Bloody Birthday. I'm also sure the new release will destroy the VCI DVD.
