Of the films that haven't been announced as of yet, which films do you want to see in glorious 1080p more than anything else?

    Mine are:

    1. Night of the Living Dead (I want a terrific version of the original and the remake).

    2. A Universal Monsters boxset (the be all and end all set with ALL of the films...such as House of Frankenstein, Werewolves of London, Draculas Daughter, etc).

    3. The Nightmare on Elm Street boxset that we should already have in our collections by now. The sequels need to be remastered with multiple commentary tracks for each film.

    4. Brazil (Criterion) - The DVD's are magnificent as far as PQ and extras, just needs to be ported over.

    5. Pulp Fiction - remastered with commentary. Arguably one of the best movies in the 90's. Once the Miramax dust settles, this disc needs to be done.

    6. In The Mouth of Madness - wishful thinking on my part. I would love an improved transfer from the DVD with commentary from Carpenter/Neill.

    7. The Ring (hold your groans). This film (with the help of above average acting and an incredible soundtrack) still works well to this day. Despite the fact that most younger generations have no idea what VHS is/was, the flick can still scare the hell out of you.

    8. The Game. Due to Mr. Douglas' unfortunate medical situation, it's not impossible to think that the studios will capitalize on this situation by releasing some of his best work. IMO, this is his best film.

    9. The Big Lebowski (the dude abides). Release the damn movie already.

    10. The James Bond Collection. Don't wait until the next Daniel Craig film gets green lit before releasing the rest of the classic films on blu-ray. Then release an Ultimate Set for those who haven't purchased the individual films to coincide with the next film.

And finally, restore the original 1984 classic "The Terminator" The current blu-ray is a disgrace. You look at the attention that T2 received over the years...give the original the love and care it needs.

Some great lists so far, Here's mine.

    1 Jaws
    2 Silver Bullet
    3 The Burning
4 The Legend Of Hell House
    5 The Car
    6 Blow Out
    7 The Funhouse

    9 Southern Comfort
    10 Hell Night

Could easily do a 50 most wanted, Got a feeling that we'll get quite a few of these next year, Jaws is coming from Universal in 2011 anyway according to reports.

I could do a 50 most wanted as well, but since I'm limited to 10...

    1. Halloween II (1981)
    2. The Burning
    3. The Car
    4. Maniac Cop
    5. Madman
    6. Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural
    7. Shock Waves
    8. Hell Night
    9. Communion aka Alice Sweet Alice
    10. What Have You Done to Solange?

And buck135, why do you say that In the Mouth of Madness on blu is wishful thinking? I'd want that too.

    3. Blue Velvet (Criterion - please get the rights to some Lynch and Jodorowsky)
    4. Holy Mountain (see above)
    5. El Topo (see above)
    6. The Beyond
    7. Deep Red
    8. All Universal Monsters

Being that this is my all time favorite horror film, this would be number one on my wishlist. However, I think we'll see the theatrical versions of the original Star Wars trilogy on blu-ray before Starz does another DotD blu-ray.

    1. Vertigo / Rebecca / Hitchcock - The rest of'em
    2. Lolita '62 / Kubrick - The rest of 'em (rumor has it 2011 from Warner)
    3. Brazil Criterion (Gilliam is surprisingly well represented on Blu otherwise)
    4. Frankenstein / Bride of Frankenstein / Universal Horrors - All of'em
    5. The Elephant Man / David Lynch - All of'em
    6. Citizen Kane / Orson Welles - All of'em
    7. Raising Arizona / Coen Brothers - Rest of'em
    8. Duck Soup / Marx Brothers - All of'em
    9. Danger: Diabolik / Mario Bava - All of'em
    10. Boxset of the Christopher Reeves Superman's

Sorry Cronenberg, but with Videodrome on the way you're off the top ten. :D This is a huge quarter coming up though with Videodrome, Paths of Glory, King Kong and many others I'd hate to leave out but are essential none the less.

I would also like another remastering of Ghostbusters and Spartacus as the current Blu-ray transfers need to be reworked.

    1. Night of the Living Dead

    Re-Animator
    Frankenstein '31
    Dracula '31
    Dead Alive
    [REC]
    Martyrs
    From Beyond
    Fright Night
    New Nightmare

Difficult to chose just ten, but Blu-rays of these films would be a terrific start!

    Halloween II (1981)
    Clueless
    Jawbreaker
Black Christmas (2006) - Canadian BD is interlaced plus it would be nice to get the alternate cut with the different death scenes. Maybe some commentaries too?
    April Fool's Day (1986)

I'll think of the others later

I'm mainly listing ones that are hard to find in HD at all

    1. Army of Darkness Dir Cut (Currently does not exist in HD on any format)
    2. Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (Poor transfer shown on HD broadcast)
    3. Prince of Darkness 1987 (Copy shown on broadcast HD is not OAR)
    4. New Nightmare (Rarely shown and I still need an HD copy)
    5. Fright Night 2 (Rarely shown I only have a bootleg of the OAR HD broadcast)
    6. The Fog 1980 (HD DVD and BR imports suck) Looks better on HD broadcast
    7. Halloween 2 (Love this movie) Also looks good on HD broadcast
    8. Phantasm 2 (Love this movie) Want extra scenes/workprint footage
9 The Ring (Scary movie rarely shown in HD)
    10. Jason X (Never seen it in HD, Don't laugh!)

(I noticed some of you put "The Car." It's currently playing on Cinemax HD)
NotLD does now exist on a decent Blu Ray for the US. It's the 3rd Blu Ray to come out on the movie. But it has some slight problems.
Here's a comparison of the three.
