I own the German Blu-ray of The Loreley's Grasp. Picture quality is frustrating. Some scenes look a tick better, but overall its still a slight step below and sometimes only briefly equally to the DVD.
Scared to Death is an interesting choice but the print they used for the DVD caused seizures to my eyeballs.

    updates:

The Beyond, Suspiria, Massacre at Central High, Last House on Dead End Street are all on the way.

    in no particular order:

    1) Carnival of Souls (original)
    2) The Black Hole
    3) Targets (Karloff)
    4) The Psychic (Fulci)
    5) The Blind Dead Movies (I saw they were reissued by BU… no Blu?)
    6) Cemetery Man
    7) Blood and Black Lace (Bava, and Done RIGHT)
    8) Critters 4 movie box set
    9) Meridian
    10) Dark Angel: The Ascent

And just more Gialli. I loved the box sets. I feel like everyone has cooled to these in recent years, but I NEVER get tired of them.

This was re-issued as a DVD-R from Warner Archive, so odds of a blu-ray are currently slim to none.

Oh, I know (I have the Paramount DVD), but the title was "Wishlist" so… I don't see a Blu of Meridian or Dark Angel coming anytime soon, or a quality box set of Critters films. Or Carnival of Souls, given that it is public domain (I believe). But I'd buy them all if they did come out, especially if "Carnival" was a Criterion release, like the DVD.

Targets is one of my favorite films. So smart, such a great Karloff performance. I love it so much, being that it is Karloff and Bogdanovich it's a little surprising someone hasn't Blu'd it.

HA! Sherilyn Fenn used to be in my work building all the time (we share space with other businesses and I would never think "star of Twin Peaks", always "star of Meridian"). And yeah, Charlie Spradling.

I'm pretty sure Code Red is planning a Barn of the Naked Dead Blu-Ray.

I had never heard of this until your post. Read some reviews and had to track it down. Waited for the BD and it is fantastic. It should have been on more wishlists.

It's kind of interesting to look back at the earliest posts and see that a good deal of those sought after titles have now been released on blu-ray.

Here are the 10 Movies It Would Take to Get Me to Upgrade to Blu-Ray:

    1. Dead Dudes in the House (aka- The House on Tombstone Hill)
    2. Def by Temptation
    3. Blades
    4. The Green Man (Albert Finney)
    5. The Worst Witch (1986)
    6. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
    7. Wicked Stepmother
    8. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
    9. Final Analysis
    10. Disney's The Three Caballeros

Oh, yeah, and they have to fix Friday the 13th's chopped up ratio and A Nightmare on Elm Street's audio problems.

Do all of these and then we'll talk.

You're 10% of the way there. I'm sure you already know that Phantasm is due out on December 6th.

    I'd say:

    1. The Changeling (1980)
    2. After Hours (1985)
    3. The Reincarnation of Peter Proud (1975) - wishful thinking since there's never even been a DVD release.
    4. Don't Go In the House (1980) - Scorpion Releasing is losing their credibility with me.
    5. Freaks (1932)
    6. The Gate (1987)
    7. The Hitcher (1986)
    8. Night Shift (1982)
    9. The Principal (1987)
    10. Rose Red (2002)
