Zombi 2 on blu ray would be fantastic. I love the whole package that shriek show put together for the dvd though, so i doubt i'll get rid of my 25th aniversary edition when i pick up the blu ray.

And yes, the blind dead series on blu would be pretty sweet too.

Maybe it just wasn't possible but I really wish they had slated something like Zombi 2 before titles like Inferno and Deep Red. I look forward to picking up both of those because I'd imagine their releases will be superior to Arrow Video's but whatever the case we already have Inferno and Deep Red on BD but we do not have Zombi 2 on BD!

This might be a stretch, but I've heard the situation in Japan has put a strain on electronics production, including blu-rays. Could have something to do with it, but probably not.

Pretty sure there are many Blu-ray plants in Japan, as when Blu-ray first came out most were infact located there. Even if they only produced a small amount now, it'll throw everything off if everyone is scrambling to secure spots. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if higher ticket distributors are able to negotiate a top spot while companies like Blue Underground are told to get back to the end of the line.

Their blu ray of Inferno thy comes out today actually looks much better than the UK release from Arrow. I'm definitely gonna go for the Blue Undergroud, even though it has less features. The difference in image quality is rather big here.

I should receive my Inferno Blu-ray tomorrow...

Torso on Blu-ray should be very nice...considering the old DVD sports an antiquated transfer.

The Nesting Blu-ray is now available to preorder at Amazon.

    One word...
    Beautiful.
Argento's opressive color palette is on display in all its glory.
The BD often looks "soft" but is traceable to the source, not the encode, as Argento shot quite a few scenes in this film to have a hazy, dreamy look to them. In those shots that allow it, fine detail is excellent and most scenes have that HD "pop." At all times, grain is natural and film-like.
    Very pleased.

Torso on blu-ray. My Blue Underground DVD is still sealed.

I hate when that happens, but I suppose it being sealed will help with resale value.

I still have never ever seen Torso, despite hearing amazing things about it. This will be a great first viewing for me.

I'm okay with B.U.'s decision to release the theatrical cut of THE NESTING on disc instead of a composite.Clearly they were concerned with the picture quality of the cut footage clashing with that of the restored negative. As they will be including these trimmed scenes as extras I can't really complain.

I'm in the same boat. I got the DVD for pretty cheap though.
