If you're looking for deals, Amazon isn't the place to look.

All three are currently $15.49 each at Deep Discount. Plus, save 15% on all orders with coupon code BOUNTY (valid through 6/30). After the code, they're $13.17 each.

Free shipping over $25, so $39.50 shipped for all three.

Same exact thing would be $53.27 at Amazon.

Even after $12 shipping and the conversion, it was still $20 cheaper than what amazon.ca was charging me for my pre-orders. Thanks for the tip. Placed my order today.

Why use Amazon? Right now here are their prices at Deepdiscount
    1990: The Bronx Warriors $15.49
    New Barbarians $15.49
    Escape from the Bronx $15.49

and if your enter the code bounty it will take 15% off your total thus making the grand total for all three $39.50 and shipping is free. I would be surprised if anytime soon these drop lower then this price.

BTW, the code only works until June 30th?

Why Amazon? Well, I have Prime shipping, for one. I love getting stuff early, even if it means paying a little extra. But I'm in a bit of a rough situation with me having to find another place to live by August 1 so I can't really splurge right now. Every little bit of savings count :)

I don't have an account at Deep Discount but I had forgotten why I never bothered to open one. They take their time to ship plus they use the slowest shipping methods. Same reason I stopped shopping at Importcds.

:confused:Slow shipping?? I always get my stuff within a week and undamaged unlike Crapazon, Plus they charge tax now and you have to pay for Prime to get good service, what a joke. They have gotten to big for their britches. Deepdiscount is the way to go buddy

For some reason I never got around to picking up a copy of the DVD, so I would definitely get the blu.

Don't they ship stuff via DHL aka molasses? That's the impression I got from various forum chatter. When I used to shop at Deep Discount's sister company Importcds they shipped via DHL and 2 weeks was the norm (I'm on the East Coast). It was almost as if they walked my stuff over from California, lol. Sometimes the cheapest option isn't the best option. I'll give DD a try, though. Maybe they have higher standards.

I'm on the east coast and my orders usually arrive about 5 days after they're placed. I don't have Prime, but Amazon's free shipping usually takes about 2 weeks for me.

DD does use the crappy cardboard ravioli packaging, but Amazon doesn't package great either. If you're order all three blus at once or more, you might get a box.

Just placed an order at DD. Thanks for the heads up. One day left on the sale too.

On Amazon. They always ship single Blu in those strong cardboard (I call it otterbox) type mailer. The ones with the recipient address in a small window, everywhere else cardboard. You can throw those across the room with no damage. More than one blu, you get a small box. Maybe it has something to do with Prime, I have no idea.

Must just be a Prime thing. I ordered an external hard drive along with a $4.88 blu-ray of The Warriors recently with their free shipping. Warriors was backordered so both shipped separately (a rarity for Amazon, they usually hold orders until everything is in stock), and both items arrived in bubble mailers. Which is totally fine, I ship items in bubble mailers myself. Actually, I generally re-use the bubble mailers I receive.

Larger orders, they usually just fold a piece of cardboard around the items.

I only order from Amazon maybe 3 or 4 times a year anyway, so not a big deal.

Years ago it could take 3 weeks to get stuff sent to Kansas. For quite some time its been closer to 5 days. If you want speed, stick with Amazon. But DD is significantly cheaper during sales.

I have Amazon prime. In my experience, DD's packaging is better. They will use boxes on orders of 3 or 4+.

One of the benefits of living in bigger city: Amazon Prime shipping is fast. I get it next day, maybe 2 days. Co-worker got something same day - ordered in the morn, was there before we left for the day.
