I second that! I'd love to be able to chuck my crappy Diamond Entertainment DVD.

Diamond? You know you can get the Grindhouse release right? Even the old AB release can be gotten used for around $10 on Amazon.

I would love the Grindhouse release, but it is selling for $22.50 new, and not much less used, on Amazon. I just can't justify spending that on a DVD of a film I already own in some form anymore now that my focus has turned to my Blu-Ray collection.
As far as the Anchor Bay release, I don't believe that it is presented in anamorphic and, as such, is probably not much of an improvement over the Diamond disc.

AB's is anamorphic, and I believe is the exact same print used for the Grindhouse release. But yeah, you know the Blu is coming eventually. I picked up the AB tin a while back.

I bought the Diamond disc wayyyy back based on the title alone with the hopes that it would be the cut US version. It wasn't, to my disappointment, but I was surprised at how not shitty the print was, save for a really cheap "Seven Doors of Death" title freeze frame inserted.

Yeah I still have my tin. I remember buying it after Christmas 2001 and being so excited that it was only $14.99 at Best Buy.
