    I usually get started with these threads earlier but horror hasn't made much impact in 2015 so far. This is what we have domestically so far

    Well, we are at the midpoint of the year and there hasn't been much change since I've last updated. Except Insidious 3 taking the lead now.

    The Gallows opens Friday, so that should give you a new one to add.

    and it is rated R finally a horror movie that is rated R for a change

    Pretty much my reaction as well. I was on the fence while it wasn't yet rated, figured it'd be PG13. But now that it has an R-rating, I'm going to see it this weekend. Not a fan of found-footage, but looks slasheresque, and I'm ready for R rated slasher films to make a comeback.

    I wonder why it took so long to get a rating? It just got one, about a week before the release date. Same thing happened with the new Terminator. Seems weird.
