    I don't buy into the "horror movies make monsters" cliche but it's an interesting coincidence if they lived in the same building.

    yeah, you nailed it. "The similarity is pretty significant." jesus christ, beyond the fact that they were both killers (one real, one fake), there's no similarity at all! "The similarities between his film and Magnotta's alleged crimes are too close to be a coincidence" says the writer. what complete horseshit. there are killers in Die Hard as well. perhaps that was the movie that set him off!? or maybe it was Seven Samurai? people got killed in that film too. this is pretty pathetic sensationalism.

    This isn't the first time he's brought up this story. I had heard it mentioned a few times before. It might have been in Jamie Lee Curtis: Scream Queen, but I don't remember for sure.
