I'd like to retire my LaserDisc, but only when the Blu Ray is available.
Fangoria is listing 2/24/09 as a release date! Hope it holds!
That'd be great. Can't wait.
Between this and Door to Silence, I think they're the last two to hit R1 DVD of Fulci's horror, no? Sodoma's Ghost is a shitty DVD, but you get the idea.
I agree. I had Cat in the Brain on laserdisc and sold it off.
well i guess my email from grindhouse a while back holds up unless the release date changes
was there ever a region 1 release of cat in the brain i do remember seeing a euroshock image dvd covers but every website says unavailable was it even ever released or just a few limited copies or what?
That one was never released, I don't think online stores ever got anything beyond promo art to put up. I looked and never saw one on ebay or amazon, so I think it was killed before discs were even made or else some would've found their way out.
one seller has two on amazon staring at 167.99
Maybe some were made a couple/few have leaked out.
I wouldn't gamble half that much $ to find out what those Amazon sellers may or may not have. Maybe try asking them for some digital pictures of the disc, case and disc in case (to which I'm sure they'll say it's sealed and they won't open). Even some pictures of the case in hand though, that was back when Image was all snappers, and those are nearly impossible to copy or make convincing boots of.
First I've heard, I did look all over back when this was supposed to come out and saw nothing then.
Very interesting. This calls for more research.
I just asked the seller for some pics and if he'd tell me how he got ahold of this. We'll see what he has to say. I was surprised to see 100% feedback for him, this might just exist after all. I haven't found anything else about it cuz most imports have an image gallery, making the Image Entertainment search come up with mostly false hits.
Found one other site claiming to sell it, never even heard of this site much less dealt with them. The gamble is drasticly reduced price-wise though.
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/dvd/A...515icun45ni4crdzwcKo5Q18uXbox2/bFsrykct7asRk= (Just noticed the "unavailable to order new" under the price)
Most everything else I could find says it's not availble and wasn't released.
Sounds good, i need this for my Fulci collection and i don't have "Cat in the Brain".
well i guess i will settle for the grindhouse release this feb
I had the Euroshock release on pre-order back then, but it got cancelled. Always wanted to see this movie. I remember reading a Fango interview with Fulci. He claimed that Craven ripped off Cat with New Nightmare. Hope this street date sticks!
Hopefully they're in a period where they can release a little more product---have they ever pulled anything once they got a solid street date? I can't remember....
I'd be way more excited about this than PIECES.
well that link doesn't work, but for future reference Chapters/Indigo is a major book store up here in Canada. Totally trustworthy.
think I am happy with the region 2 I have
Hmmmm, must be a cookie or something on that link cuz it still works for me. It still says unavailable to order so I think they just made the page for the pre-release and haven't bothered to kill it.
As for the Amazon seller, still no word back at all.
Same here the link also works for me!
The link didn't work for me, either. However, all I did was search for the title, and it came up.
I don't see any reason to buy Cat in the Brain--especially not at the Amazon price!--when Grindhouse is releasing theirs in February. That release is basically guaranteed to be worthwhile.
As for the Euroshock DVD's on Amazon--it's entirely possible that a few sneaked out prior to the title's cancellation. There was a sealed copy of Dark Sky's Kill, Baby...Kill on Ebay a couple of months ago, with photos and everything. The price was over $100.00.
Does this mean a 3-D cover?
