Amazon shipped mine over the weekend so I'm hoping it will be in the mail sometime this week.

You never know with Amazon---I cancelled an order with them once because they waiting to ship something until weeks after it had been released.

Mine is on its way. Buy.com has it for only $13.99, but currently misspelled under the title Car in the Brain.

Am a bit worried now, as I just assumed all copies in the initial release would have the lenticular cover (and Deep Discount have already shipped mine). Will be grossly disappointed if I don't score one 'cos it looks sooooo damn cool!

Is the lenticular part a slipcase type deal, or part of the regular keepcase? I'm wondering if these non-lenticular copies people are getting are just from shitty stores that have taken the slipcase off for display or something.

When I pre-ordered mine from Amazon.com the item was listed as "Cat in the Brain [with Limited Edition Lenticular Cover]"(or something along those lines) however as of a few weeks ago the title changed to just "Cat in the Brain". My invoice and pre-order specifies the lenticular cover and if that's not what I get then they're getting a return. Despite the pre-order I wouldn't be shocked if I didn't get the lenticular cover.

I've noticed that alot of the times i order movies online they never come with slipcases of any kind. For some reason they remove them, that's why i'm going to try and find Cat In The Brain in stores.

But please let me know if you get that Lenticular from Deep Discount, i may end up ordering mine from there as well.

Did you actually watch it yet? It looks cut. Some noticeable gore missing. I've talked to 4 other people that got it and theirs is the same way.:(

Got mine yesterday---no lenticular cover, not that I really care.

Probably won't get around to watching it until next week.

I ordered mine from DVDplanet, and it is not the lenticular cover. too bad.
I watched it last night, and didn't notice anything cut.
I have the original Grindhouse LD, and also the Dutch Import DVD, and all versions appear identical. can someone tell me of a specific scene that is cut so i can take a closer look?

Just went to my local Best Buy last night and saw 3 of them with the lenticular cover :)
So naturally I picked one up & it's not a slip case for those of you who were wondering, it's on the actual hard case.

Very cool cover, well worth it.

I really doubt that a company like Grindhouse Releasing would fuck up the gore.

And all of the reviews i've read online, including avmaniacs and dvddrivein (who really know their shit) haven't mentioned any of the gore missing.

Well, I got mine today and it's got the lenticular cover so I'm happy! The cover isn't a slipcase it's just something they put on top of the regular cover before putting it into the case, there is no adhesive or anything so you could take it out and display it or something if you wanted to.

haha, as stupid as this will sound, the special cover was what made me decide to get this. I always though the movie was so so and as a result passed on the imports a few times but I still wanted it in my collection and this one seemed to be the one to get!
The cover was cooler than I thought, the 3D effect has a lot of depth to it and looks like it goes back several inches; much nicer than any other I've seen. The real value, of course, was the movie which also looked great and after a re-watch I found myself liking it a lot better than the first time I saw it years ago. In however many years I've had it (quite a few...) I only watched the dub I bought once while I imagine I'll watch this again in the next few months! I think I paid about $2 more for that dub too...
