I thought it was great. The twists were awesome. It's certainly a gift to fans of the entire series, not just the first entry.

Just watched this and loved it. Great story line and a refreshing idea for the series. This may well end up being my favorite Chucky movie aside from the original Child's Play. Creepiest doll yet, the eyes on this Chucky were genuinely scary.

Finished watching it yesterday. Not bad, very good. But seeing the post credits scene, I'm not sure how the series can continue IF there's going to be another film least Don has a good idea.

    So yeah, good movie. :)

I liked it up to the climax of the main story, all the crap after that was ridiculous, kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

I felt a little like that only because I feel like a sequel will be back to comedy again. Didn't bother me that much tho.

Just finished rewatching the entire series, ending with my first viewing of Curse. I enjoyed Curse, especially the main storyline. It was suspenseful, had a great lead character, and a couple of really good kills (loved the ax bit). However, everything after the ending for the Nica character (which I really liked) felt more like fan service than an organic part of the narrative. Not to say I didn't enjoy the callbacks to previous films in the series, but they just opened up many character motivation questions. The ending of the film itself also didn't seem to jive with the post-credit scene. I liked the idea of the post-credit scene a lot, but was left a little confused considering what had occurred immediately before. All in all it was an enjoyable piece of horror and makes me excited to see more Chucky DTV movies in the future. My ranking for the series, from best to worst, now stands at: 1-Bride-2-Curse-3-Seed.

If Mancini got us from SEED to CURSE he can pretty much do anything. I agree the two extra fan service endings are over-the-top, but they were a ton of fun. I look at them as just some great extras onto an already solid movie.

I'm not too worried how those endings affect canon, either, because:

The next film could pick up where the first ending left off, where Chucky was trying the body transfer thing. He would fail, as he always does, which would lead us to the next movie. That was the formula for 1-3, so it's a safe bet there. If they decide to scrap that, then they pick up with Alex Vincent, since you never see the shotgun hit and therefore there's room for a confrontation there and then it's up to Mancini where he takes it then.

Yeah I thought that too. It sounded like a variation of it at least.

Finally watched it, really enjoyed it, loved how they tied it into the first film. Although I wasn't keen on the bed, I mean how
was Jennifer Tillys character a human again when she was a doll in Bride?

    4/5

In the end of Seed, Tiffany the doll transfers her body into Jennifer Tilly the actress. Tiffany now in possession of Ms. Tilly's body dyed Tilly's hair to blonde as that was Tiffany's hair color.

I'm surprised to see all the love this is getting. Personally, I did not think it was very good.

The movie seems confused and muddled. I like that they are going back to the roots of the 1st one but it comes off as awkward as it's really not a reboot but really a sequel to Seed. Why hide Chucky so much, when the audience already knows it's the doll? I would argue his presence in this film is even more limited than the original. When we do see him and his face is in motion he looks very CGI
(for example, the scene under the blanket where he tells the girl she should be scared).
The way they changed Charles Lee Ray's character and had him
romantically obsessed with his neighbor was a terrible retcon imo. All of a sudden Charles has gone all fatal attraction and just wants love?
I didn't find any of the characters very interesting, other than Fiona Douriff. The other actors may have well been cardboard cut-outs.
Then you have Jennifer Tilly showing up towards the end which clashes with the semi-serious vibe that the movie was going for. Then things are further muddled with it appearing that he will transfer his soul into the girl but then he shows up as a doll at Andy's house.
While it did have some okay moments, overall the whole thing felt very sloppy and as confused as Glen/Glenda.

Ahhh thanks, I never sat through the whole of Seed so I just assumed it was a mistake, cheers :D

Btw I just watched the post credit scene, seriously loved it :D

I keep thinking was this a last hurrah for the original series or will there be more. I'm slightly worried they'll end up doing a reboot.

    I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it :(

I will say I kind if agree with the muddled movie stuff but only in the final parts of the film. I actually don't think it needed the ending it had. It could have just ended right after the cop shows up for me. Then have the post credits scene, you didn't need to know who posted the Chucky doll in my opinion.

But tbh it's probably my favourite of the series.
