Anyone else bummed this is no longer available on their cable service? I know it was far from a great network but I did turn to it regularly to check out interesting-sounding movies or watch Tales From The Darkside and 80s Twilight Zone reruns. It was a good background channel to have on. I know a lot of people have cut their cable and moves like this inspire me to do likewise.

That sucks but if it gets you thinking about cutting the cord then it's not all bad. :]

I still have Chiller, although I've always been bummed that Chiller and Comet are two of the only channels that aren't offered in HD on my cable service.

I don't think I ever got that channel in my area. I guess like FearNet not enough people watch horror movies.

I never got it here with Spectrum either. Maybe it was only available to Time Warner subscribers prior to the merger.

I believe back when I worked installing DirectTV products Chiller was one of the handful out of hundreds of channels I was interested in, but in order to get it you had to first subscribe to one of the higher tiers, and it wasn't even offered in HD. Unless I'm thinking of another network like Cloo. I believe that one is no more, as well.

For a measly $5 a month I subscribe to Shudder. Pretty damn good horror selection. Has a live channel as well.

The problem with Shudder is that there is a lot of overlap with more popular subscription apps. When it comes to everything else like classic horror I'm already likely to have most of the titles in my collection. Even for $5 it isn't personally worth it to me.

I myself own a lot of what Shudder offers on blu-ray, but as far as I can tell, the offerings they have certainly cater to a true horror genre fan and not just the browsing Netflix or Amazon Prime user, both of which I subscribe to as well. I find that it supplements the offerings from the mainstream subscriptions. Five dollars a month is a pittance for what they have available and they add new titles on a regular basis.

I have it on my cable, but I never watch it. It is not in HD and that is ridiculous in this day and age. This channel could have HUGE, if it was in HD and films were shown in their original ratings with no commercials. They missed a giant opportunity to capitalize on a large audience. SyFy , AMC, FX, etc... even show more horror movies & are in HD.

But if you want to know disappointment, how's about the removal of Monsters HD ? This what Chiller could have been. Even if they were half as good it would have been a win.

Agree to this statement big time. It's a great service for five bucks.
