You and your hatred for movies I love.
You're still cool in my book though.
I have to believe it will drop wayyyy down from $39 before release date. Or soon after.
Not hatred man, just not my thing. I remember thinking it was a little slow first time I watched it too. I did enjoy the the promo video they play at the start though.
I sure hope so. That's a crazy asking price, especially with 4k discs hitting the market.
Ha it's no biggie, just commenting.
All good, I just thought I should correct you as I never said I hated it.
I misread your comment.
I'm excited for this release.
I am as well.
I'd really like to have this - but not sure I wanna dish out 40.00 for it. Hopefully it drops down at least 15.00 on Amazon
$15 is unlikely, but I could see $23.
At $40 SRP for on both this and Blood Diner, these had better be damn nice releases.
That was actually a typo on my part - I meant 25.00 - but even that is kinda high
Man, I love this movie. I preordered it. There's a whole two months before the release so hopefully it goes down in price. If not, I'll cancel and wait until it gets around $20.
Guys, the $39 quote is just the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price - it is by NO means the actual final retail price. I'm sure this will not end up costing more than $24.99 around the time the street date rolls around. It may even go lower, perhaps to $19.99. The unusually high MSRP suggests the studio has something extra special planned but, still, I seriously doubt we'll have to fork over anything close to forty bucks for it.
Why is it so expensive???
Bull Moose has their pre-order at $31.97. They usually wind up being pretty competitive with Amazon for new releases
Are they a discount store like deepdiscount? $32 still seems pretty high. Maybe Lionsgate has something much bigger planned than I imagined. Maybe a steelbook or some fancy box set with trinkets LOL
They're a brick and mortar store.
I doubt it, more likely is that they were pitched on releasing these by the high price points of Arrow, Code Red... That they may not sell as many units but the price per would make it worth it. I could be wrong but that would be my pitch.
I decided to pre-order Chopping Mall, Blood Diner, and Kino Lorber's The Pit. Their current combined total is $110 (!), but I'm confident it will drop. Lionsgate's upcoming re-release of Highlander is currently $9.99 and most Kino releases can be had for $15-$20 on release day. I don't want to miss out on locking in the lowest price on these when they do drop. And if they don't for some reason, I can just cancel the order before their release date.
