I always watch several Xmas-themed horror films over the holidays, but Black Christmas is easily my favorite out of all of them.

An honorable mention goes to Silent Night, Bloody Night - somebody release a decent DVD already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'll go with Black Christmas.

But, Silent Night, Bloody Night is damn good too.

My absolute favourite horror movie to watch on Christmas is CHRISTMAS EVIL. I was so lucky I was able to see it on the big screen this year with Lewis Jackson doing a Q&A at the New Bev Cinema.

Silent Night, Deadly Night edges out Gremlins. Gremlins is one of the movies I break out when I want to be reminded why my childhood was fun but SN,DN is one of the reasons my teenage years was a blast.

I have to go with Silent Night, Deadly Night. It's like a treasure trove of Christmas-themed B movie riches: Grandpa's fake catatonic state and awesome Santa speech, Billy's amazingly distasteful childhood encounter with Santa, his hysterical mullet hair cut at the orphanage, the sadistic mother superior, Linnea Quigley's mounted deer head encounter, the trigger happy cop's decision to blindly open fire during recess, and all the terrible line readings of "naughty!" and "punish!"

Is it even POSSIBLE to watch this film without laughing hysterically? I don't think so. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Santa Claus: The Movie. No particular reason, maybe the Superman connection (the production values are almost exactly the same, along with overall tone).

Every year Christmas Eve at Midnight means Black Christmas (1974). I have done this every year now since 1986.

Gremlins. I love those little freaks.

On a side note I really need to start watching more Christmas themed horror movies as I still haven't seen classics like Black Christmas and Silent Night Deadly Night.

Tales From the Crypt (1972) is my personal favorite. The leadoff story in this anthology film "And All Through The House" with Joan Collins and a killer Santa is truly a holiday horror classic.

I'm going with Silent Night, Deadly Night. It's a Christmas horror film that succeeds at not only capturing the Christmas feel, but keeping a steady quality from beginning to end. Too many slasher films start out good but have a lousy 3rd act, or in Christmas Evil's case has a crappy first two and have an awesome third act. SNDN is a masterful piece of slasher cinema!

The Curse of the Cat People, Gothic horror that's both haunting while still embodying the Christmas spirit.

The original BLACK CHRISTMAS is my go to horror flick for a chilly Christmas viewing. It's masterful blend of yuletide cheer and ice cold terror gets me every time.I usually follow it up with TALES FROM THE CRYPT for it's terrific "And All Through The House" segment.

Black Christmas has my vote, no movie can match the sheer creepiness of that one. Then again, I always have to throw in Gremlins too because it's so much fun.

I definitely love to watch Black Christmas on Christmas morning after opening presents. Then later that evening, I put on The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Om Christmas Eve, I tend to watch Silent Night, Deadly Night.

Silent Night Deadly Night 2. Yes it sucks, but it's damn well entertaining enough to support yearly viewings! :D

The MST3K version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is the only one that's been getting annual play since it came out. I'm sure the MST3K Mexican Santa Claus and Rifftrax Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny will become yearly traditions as well.

As for straight-up horror, I just got all of the Silent Night, Deadly Night movies on DVD. The first one at least will become a holiday staple again after not seeing it for many years.
