It used to be the original Black Christmas, but now I go on youtube and watch TREEVENGE!!
Not even close for me...every Christmas eve before I go to bed I sneak away from the family and throw on Silent Night, Deadly Night. "The Warm Side of the Door" is more comforting than a thousand Yule logs!
Silent Night, Deadly Night...
Partly because of the song (starting two minutes in):
And partly because Robert Brian Wilson makes me think naughty thoughts:
I also have to go with Gremlins. Although the snow, and isolated paranoia of "The Thing" really reminds me of my family Christmas get togethers as well.
Black Christmas every year for me and usually one of the BBC's Ghost Story for Christmas specials these are always really spooky especially the tales of M.R. James like Whistle And I'll Come To You or A Warning To The Curious. The Signalman is very creepy too with Denholm Elliot.
So many to choose from, but I have to say Black Christmas. My 2nd choice would be Silent Night, Deadly Night, but Black Christmas, because it was directed by Bob Clark, and even after being viewed over and over again, it still seems fresh to me, and it is still creepy to watch.
No contest - the original Black Christmas is my favorite to watch during the X-Mas season.
It is becoming cliche here, but I love Gremlins as well!
Shannon Elizabeth taking a carrot nose up her christmas cookie in JACK FROST.
Silent Night Deadly Night 5 really love this film!
Other necessities include Black Christmas, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and Santa's Slay. Scrogged is also a favourite that has horror elements to it, as does every adaptation of A Christmas Carol I guess.
Black Christmas would be my choice for the holiday. I also like Nightmare Before Christmas.
Black Christmas for me too- I watched it just last night.
I gotta go with The Shinning
Recently, it's been Silent Night, Bloody Night. Love that film, even with the crappy transfer I have. I really hope this gets a legit, remastered release sometime!
if i go with horror movies, i'll take Black Christmas (the original), which plays during Christmas and is not necessarily linked to Christmas
but i'll probably am going to watch 12 Angry Men again, for me a not-Christmas movie with a message that brings hope to the people on Christmas when everywhere there is sh*t going on that nobody wants
Definitely is Black Christmas, my favorite movie. If I'm on the campy Christmas mood, then is a must to watch Silent Night, Deadly Night.
I know whats in the box. Gweneth Paltrows head.
Two Bob Clark flicks...
Horror - Black Christmas
Christmasy - A Christmas Story
... I haven't watched either of these yet this year.
