 Yeah, Arrow make it really hard not to double dip.
OK ow my god, now where can I buy this?!
OK it's official I just gave birth to my first child.
Amazon UK is probably your best option.
City of the Living Dead at Amazon UK
Also, the dvd packaging which differs sightly from the blu:
Thank You +1! This better not be delayed!
I don't see myself replacing too many dvds with BLU, but I'll have to hit this shit up as well. It just has to be done.
I've been following this release on the Arrow forums and it seems to be right on track. This will be released right on time.
Do any of the special feature explain WHAT THE FUCK happens at the end?
Oh it's not one of those movies is it? *sigh*
Folks--although this looks exciting...I hear the extras are SD pal-so even though the blu is region free I don't think we can watch the extras on standard US blu players...
Well this is my theory about the ending:
MacColl´s character dies during the seance in the beginning of the movie and suddenly comes back to life later on in her coffin. When they kill the priest at the end of the movie ending the curse, which kills the rest of the zombies, she as well dies once again since her resurrection must have been a part of the curse, even though she stayed human and VERY pretty compared to the rest of them .
This is the way I´ve always thought about the ending since the first time I saw it.
Your right,you cant.
I would suggest everyone wait and see if the extras are PAL or not. I have a couple Blu-rays from Europe that I can't play the extras on my PS3 with.
They spilled coffee on the negative and couldn't afford a re-shoot. No I'm not kidding.
I am 99% certain the extras will be in PAL. I bought the Dawn blu-ray set from Arrow. All those extras were in PAL.
Yeah, the book Eaten Alive backs this up as the case.
Did they say what the original ending was?
The ending, or really lack thereof, is the most frustrating thing about the film, especially considering the fine finales of most of Fulci's work (The Beyond, Don't Torture a Duckling, Door into Silence, etc.). I've heard the "coffee" theory before, so I'll believe that, but I'd still like to know what the ending WOULD have been were it not for that caffeine blunder!
Speaking of that ending, though...the best part of Lustig's UNCLE SAM was definitely it's nod to the ending here. It oddly fit that film a lot better.
You people are all bananas. COTLD's ending is just fine the way it is!
For the record, I'm with you. I would like to know what the intended ending was, anyway,
It was real scary
