I thought Cold Prey a.k.a. Fritt Vilt was totally awesome. Had no idea there's a sequel. Check the teaser trailer here: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=tbXSAMhnDUg

    Premieres Oct 10 in Norway

Sounds kinda like Halloween II. I loved the first one, and I've been looking forward to the sequel all year. Who knows when it'll get to the US. But I'll be importing the R2 DVD when it's released.

I bought the first one when it hit DVDs here in the States and I loved it. I didn't even realize there was a sequel until writer/director Roar Uthaug announced that Cold Prey will most likely become a trilogy, due to this sequel's tremendous box office success. I'll be waiting patiently for the sequel's US release. I just hope it's as well-done as its predecessor.

Not surprising that there's a sequel for this. Wasn't there a quick flash of a number 2 and the killer at the end of the first one? This trailer does look good. The first one's okay. I'll give this a rent when it comes out.

Didn't the first one just come to DVD in North America? Wonder how long this will take to get here.

Yes, it just came out on R1. I bought the R2 two-disc DVD release (Fritt Vilt) nearly two years before the R1 even came out.

OK, caught the import UK DVD of this film and I have to say it's one of the best slasher films I've come across lately. Great camerawork, big budget, slow build up with some nice jumps and kills. This is the remake of HALLOWEEN 2 people will wish Rob Zombie's film is (especially if the hospital scenes do pan out to be only 10-15 mins of the final film).

Sadly, it looks like Anchor Bay will be passing on the US release. I can only hope someone else picks up the ball and puts this on high def (the import bluray has no English subs).

My thoughts when I watched the first one. Now I'm really looking forward to the sequel.

Just an unofficial FYI that I cant really go into. The DVD was released in the UK and worth tracking down. Take HALLOWEEN 2 and THE THING and splice them together. I was not crazy about the 1st one but really liked this flick.

I thought CP2 was excellent. Really well done slasher - full of fun, dread and suspense.

I still haven't seen either of these, I need to catch up. I've been so preoccupied with old school slashers that I've hardly given any of the new blood a chance.

This was a superb sequel! It really does play and remind me of Halloween II. It's a very tightly paced film and doesn't drag about.

The UK DVD is 16x9 widescreen with English subtitles. The only extra is the trailer unfortunately. I would have went with the Norwegian release again like I did with the first film, but neither the DVD or Blu-ray offer English subtitles this time.

I know, right? I just came across this last week at Blockbuster and thought I'd check it out. It was good. Definitely not "great" and certainly not original. But genre fans will enjoy it as it does remind one of classic slashers.
I will be on the lookout for the sequel.

I actually think I enjoyed CP2 a bit more than the original. Once again some great performances and very likable characters but it seemed a bit more gory this time around. Nothing original...except that it's actually a good, well done slasher flick. I'd even be on board for a part 3.
