I'd like to see an uncut version of Cujo! From memory, wasn't the last release trimmed?

Surprised Olive got the rights to Cujo from Lionsgate. Also, great for the fans that The Boogens is finally coming out and also I want Race For Your Life Charlie Brown and Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back) to be released cuz they're long overdue.

Looks like it's Orson Welles' Macbeth too! Fortunately I never imported that one.

I heard from the guys at Red Shirt Pictures that Lionsgate was losing the pictures it had gotten from the Republic catalog. Ones that they mentioned were going OOP, but aren't listed here were The Monster Squad, The Running Man, and Night of the Demons 2. I guess someone other than Olive licensed those films. As far as the ones listed here, I really hope we see a special edition of Invasion of the Body Snatchers '56. That classic has been crying for an SE for about 14 years.

The Boogens may get a DVD release, sure, but I don't see the film hitting the format before any of the other better-known titles. Body Snatchers '56 is the likeliest one to get released among the first batch. I'll wait for an official announcement from Olive before I get all worked up about any of this. People forget they're a small, fledgeling label - many of these may not see a release for a long time.

i completely agree, but is it likely? i don't know much about Olive's products, but it seems like they've all been completely barebones, haven't they? not much better than these films going MOD, in my opinion.

Take note I just went to IMDB, and for THE MONSTER SQUAD, THE RUNNING MAN and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 2 Olive Films (2012) DVD & blu-ray is listed in their Distributors category.

I think all releases have been slightly trimmed. Look like this really needs a branching disc with both versions as there's lots of alternate footage and scenes. See em all at the link below.

As I was scrolling through that list my fingers were crossed that we might get Freeway on blu-ray. :(

Blu-ray.com put this up about the Invasion of the Body Snatchers blu-ray. http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=8607

A new HD transfer restored from the original negative! That's exciting to me. I missed this thread and list. An obscure western like Ramrod on Blu-ray? That's pretty cool. I checked out Olive films and it looks like their discs run a bit high, but if they do a good job with these I'll definitely buy them.

Unfortunately it's in 2:1 which is not the intended aspect ratio. I'll have to mull over this purchase. Seems unlikely we'll ever get it in 1.85:1 again.

I didn't know about that. It was released to theaters in superscope, but it would be interesting to have both versions.

Can I ask what you're basing this info off of? As far as I can tell, the original ration was 2.00:1 - at least all the usual sites I have checked have suggested that.

Also coming off the original negative, I'm not sure how the ratio could be incorrect in the sense they wouldn't use the intended ratio by the filmmakers.
