The director's cut isn't much different from the theatrical (just over a minute longer) so if you didn't like it then, I doubt you'll like it now. Just a bit more gore in the shed scene and some extended dialogue scenes.

You'd have to be some kind of soulless monster to not enjoy Commando, though. Classic Arnie...

In a film full of best scenes, that is the best scene.

I like the scene where Arnie perps up: "I eat Green Berets for breakfast"

Ah it's been a while since I watched Commando, will have to dig it out again :D

Grabbed one today and it was indeed quite the scavenger hunt to find it. It's took three Best Buy employees and I to procure one. Of all places, it was in the "Gifts for Dad" section and was priced correctly at $7.99. There was two left after I took one.

That's exactly where it was at mine. I just got back & it was amongst other steel books , but under gifts for dad.

There was some other pretty cool steel books(mostly talking about the artwork), but I only got Commando. Commando for me was the best deal there. I didn't own it on any format before today, it has both the theater & directors cut of the film. (First time in R1 if I'm not mistaken), and it was $7.99

    Win Win Win
