Hmm... Prophecy... only because it has an inside out bear doing the Voorhees stomp before Voorhees was ever around... :p :p

Ravenous. Such an underrated movie with an awesome score to boot! I know it takes place at a fort, but a lot of it is out in the wilderness.

Yes, Prophecy for me too- this one came up in conversation with a friend just the other night. I highly recommend the novelization as well. In my opinion it's even more enjoyable than the film!

I'm going with Evil Dead. I wouldn't wanna stay in that cabin.... but the woods outside seem even more ominous!

havent seen that many survivalist films (other than backwoods slashers) but I'd have to go with Rituals

hmm, don't really have a favourite, but if you broaden the term 'horror' then i would pick Deliverance, which is an amazing film

secondly, i was also quite impressed by The Grey

The Descent is a very close second. Eden Lake is also good, and the ending of Blair Witch project was outstanding (but the middle bored me).

Tough choice... I don't have just one and many of my favorites are already on here, so I'll throw out an odd ball...

    "The Grey."

A film bleaker than most horror films as well moments of crazy suspense. It's also quite brutal.

Edit:Someone beat me to it, but I stand by The Grey, I'm feeling that one right now.

The Final Terror. Wouldn't mind being out in the woods with those girls, though.
