The end jolt from DAY OF THE DEAD 1985 - when Sarah wakes up on the beach you are not really sure if they made it out alive or if she's in her own personal heaven.

My favorite moment in a zombie film is the arrival of the bikers (lead by Savini) in Dawn of the Dead. Just when you thought the film couldn't get any more fun, it does.

    This is difficult...

I'd have to say from Dawn of the Dead, when the zombies attack the bikers and rip their stomaches open. Plus the pie fight haha that's always great

My favorite moment in a zombie movie is when the zombies rise from their graves in Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things. Weird music and cool makeup.

I am NOT entering this contest, as I'm a moderator. But I wanna play too, and as a moderator I get to pick two moments (I just made that rule up)

    1. Dawn of the Dead: The zombies ripping open Roger's previously bitten leg as he's trying to get into the Scirocco. Ouch!

    2. 28 Days Later: tunnel scene

I have to go with a childhood favorite: Alan's spectacularly unchivalrous act at the end of Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. It always seemed to be playing on WOR Channel 9 out of New York in the mid 70s. Even as a kid I found it hilarious and disturbing.

In the original night of the living dead, when the two are stuck inside the truck, its on fire. Then it shows nobody in the truck when it explodes a couple seconds later. Surely they could have put two dummies inside it! I thought it was funny though

So many great scenes from which to choose- most of them quite gory- but I'll go with the zombies emerging from their graves in Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things too. It is a truly eerie moment.

Zombie vs. Shark has to be the most over the top zombie scene of any film. It doesn't matter how much gore or CGI future films have at their disposal there's nothing like a guy wrestling a real live shark underwater.

I've bought the poster and the t-shirt two times over.

The most amazing zombie film committed to celluloid where every scene filmed is something to behold...

Yeah...the opening to NOTLD is probably my favorite as well.

I also always enjoyed the zombie coming out of the TV in The Video Dead as well as ALL the Denim Zombies in FleshEater.

P.S. Did the thread title remind anybody of Altered Beast, or am I the only one? LuLz.

Only on the zombie level. The commuter traffic on the other level of the bridge seems to be moving just fine.

I think it has to be that neck bite early in Dawn of the Dead when the swat team is sweeping the apartment building--IT was just so new at that point to see that level of graphicness and it really set the tone for the insanity to come....

    Dance of the Dead (2008)

The prom dance surrounded by Zombies and a cover version of Pat Benetar's "Shadows of the Night" playing, ballad version. Doesn't get cooler than that.
