I was watching a little bit of Spidey 2 today. And at the scene were Alferd Molina is messin' with the energy stuff. Did you notice the way his wife in the film got killed? A window bursts open, from all the power from the energy, and shards of glass pierce her.

Sound Familiar? It should. IT's from THE BEYOND. When Warbeck's medicial assistant gets killed. He dies in the similar fashion, only difference is, he dies in a hospital, and dies a little more bloodier death.

I didn't notice this until today. Cool reference. Lots of them throughout actually.

I wouldn't call it a reference or an homage at all. It's just a coincidence. Now, if somebody got a wooden splinter in the eye...now that's a reference!

The Evil Dead 2 reference was better.

That could be because it was in fact a reference.

Could've been a reference. The first Spider-Man had a few frames of The Beyond's spider attack scene spliced in.

Like it says in the other thread, it's right after Peter falls off the bed. You have to look closely though.

Didn't the first Spider-Man also have a clip from Cannibal Holocaust, or is that my imagination? I think I recall it being a scene in New York when Alan Yates' father is interviewed under the bridge calling his son a bum.
