According to Fango, MB has picked up the rights to Blood Feast 2 (YAY!) & Franco's loose Orloff remake, Faceless. Blood Feast 2 will get a loaded SE after the limited theatrical run. The Faceless DVD will include an interview with Caroline Munro. Well, I'm happy that Spectrum didn't get the rights to BF2. I'm eagerly anticipating this sequel. Never seen Faceless. I remember some gory shots in Gorezone. Hell, it has Munro in it. So it can't be too bad, right?
This is the best news I've heard in a while. It's great to see that Blood Feast 2 will be the release it so rightfully deserves. Awesome!
Ugh... Besides Zombi 3, does Blockbastard have any other MB/SS titles for rent? I hope that isn't the case for Blood Feast 2. Shit, it's bad enough waiting for the "full" version of Zombi 3...
awesome news i havent seen anything about Bloodfeast 2 but i have seen stuff about Faceless and it looks great!!!
Faceless is pretty cool. Lots of gore - great face transplant sequences. Corny eighties theme song. It also features possibly the greatest waste of a name actor (Telly Savalas) ever. Can't wait to see something about BF2. Is there an on-line trailer anywhere???
HOLY SHIT! I have wanted to get my hands on a good copy of Faceless forever! I love Caroline Munro and I can not wait to get this one. Thanks a ton Mark, for the news
Faceless rocks! It is one of the few films that I can applaud Franco for as he truly delivered the goods this time! I'm glad to see this disc! As for Blood Feast 2, what can I say? Its H.G. Lewis man! Hell yes!
According to our friends at Japan/Italian Shock 3 Franco releases are coming late January `Bloody Moon` `Linda` and `Sadomania`.... hope this is true!
The BLOOD FEAST 2 trailer used to be at the HG Lewis website. There is at least some graphic art left. The trailer is not there anymore. Saw it one time. Looks like a lot of fun! http://www.herschellgordonlewis.com/films.htm
More Fango News... The Godfather of Gore is at it again! Lewis is working on a new movie called Grim Fairy Tale. It's about a TV game show with nasty consequences for the losers.
Cool! With news of films like this, Blood Feast 2, Beyond Re-Animator, and the new Henenlotter flick - Sick in the Head, maybe there's hope yet for hardcore horror.
Back to the basics! I love it too, I remember having to cite H.G. Lewis quite a few times for a marketing class. I was curious as all hell if that was the same H.G. Lewis we all know and love, he's become quite the businessman! So is he going to start making movies on his vacations then? Sounds good to me!
FACELESS is interesting as Franco really pulls a cool one. as characters from his past movies appear in the story (Dr Orloff/howard Vernon, Anton diffling as that Nazi dude from one of his 60s movies). Real fun for Franco buffs.
