I received mine earlier this afternoon... indeed autographed by William Malone.

They also sent a free John Williams soundtrack CD (sealed) for Jane Eyre on La-La Land Records. That sells for $20 direct from LLLR. Limited Edition of 2000, so that's pretty cool...especially as I'm into collecting soundtracks! :)

I got mine with the soundtrack for "The Rat Patrol"

First time watching the film and really enjoyed it.

I guess they're throwing in free LLLR CD's, but that's a cool bonus. I'd be interested to hear what bonuses anyone else received in their packages...

I got a Wuthering Heights soundtrack CD. It's a relief that they're sending people complimentary CDs and it's not some mistake - I was worried about having to make a trip to the post office to send it back (I'm too honest). Not sure what I'll do with it, though - soundtracks aren't my thing. My DVD copy is signed - I don't see a sig on that DVD pictured above. I must have lucked out.

Mine was signed too. I think everybody who ordered it from Dark Delicacies should get an autographed copy.

I just watched the DVD earlier, and the transfer is quite good...definitely the best it's ever looked since it was originally in theaters back in 1985. Somebody mentioned that some scenes appeared too dark — but I didn't really notice this at all. It looked really good on my calibrated setup, and I'd imagine a future Blu-ray would look superb.

That was me, in my review. But I'm cool with the level of darkness now.

That damn DVD slipped right by me. I love the film...darn. Another bad call on my part to wait until I got paid before securing a purchase.

I'm glad I ordered on too. I haven't seen one on amazon or ebay yet! How many do you think got out there? 100? less?

Glad I ordered the DVD as well. I blind bought because I always wanted to see it and ended up digging it quite a bit.

Apparently not very many at all...

Yeah, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose... but in this case it was a good buy. I remember some places online even stating the Blu-ray would come out first!

It was available for just a limited time from Dark Delicacies, DiabolikDVD, and directly from Malone. I don't think there were even many pressed...and it was a real pressed silver disc too.

Once they sold out, they just weren't ever restocked anywhere. Everybody thought it would simply get a wider release, but that still has yet to materialize.

Wait, from what I understood from reading that message is that the bluray isn't coming as soon as they hoped, not that it has been canceled entirely. Why is everybody freaking out? Am I missing something?

The guy is not gonna say it's never ever coming out, as there is always the chance, but that's what an announcement like this usually means, synapse was mentioned here as the blu ray releasing company, but I've not heard anything else about it, sounds like it was just talk, need a company like synapse or shout factory to obtain the rights to release it, but I think it will now NEVER see the light of day.

Anyplace I can find that DVD since I stupidly waited hoping for a Blu-Ray release. I love that film and only have the crappy old Platinum DVD release.
