Terrific news! I love this movie and I'm happy it's getting the treatment it deserves. It surprisingly has a lot of special features, I'm happy that they managed to interview Julie Christie. I'm just hoping we don't get a R2 situation with terrible quality.
I seriously hate the cover though. Why couldn't they just go with the terrific and simple original poster?

I can't imagine anyone NOT being excited about this news! Personally, I sold my DVD years ago and regretted it ever since.

Excited for this one, too bad it's missing the Roeg commentary from the UK releases.

I haven't gotten around to watching my copy yet, but thats disappointing to read. i had assumed i wouldn't have any need to pick up the Criterion release, especially since the UK one seems to beat it in terms of supplements. I guess I'll have to give it a look and decide if it's a necessary upgrade.

So Fuckin' Jazzed! Really looking forward to The Enigma of Film doc just about as much as I am the actual film. While they may be hit and miss as film makers, Boyle and Soderbergh are two perfect choices for commentary.

    And, I love the cover.

I have the UK Blu-ray already, but I'll definitely be getting this one.

I might use my $10 voucher (from the Eraserhead debacle) and just order it direct from Criterion.

I love this film and am very happy Criterion will be releasing it. That said, I'm sure I will wait until I can get it in a 50% off sale.

decided to order this from diabolik instead of amazon because they had it in stock on thursday and they usually ship before street date. No shipping confirmation yet so it looks like I made a mistake. I have Amazon Prime and could've had this in my hands on Tuesday, looks like I won't see it until thursday at the earliest. Way to go, diabolik

Picked this up on Tuesday. It looks incredible, and it's about time. The version released in he UK by StudioCanal was a fucking disaster, DNR'd to shit. I was waiting for Criterion to do it right.

Matt89, using the screen shots at DVDBeaver, tell me exactly where the UK Blu-ray is DNR'd to shit. I'd like to know what that looks like.
