I went to two different Walmarts today looking for this and neither of them had it. One of them had a spot for it in the $5 DVD section (not the dump bin) but the spot was empty.

Hopefully this will be rhett's next review, seeing as how he owns the disc. I'd love to read a review.

Has anyone seen any of the other films bundled with CURTAINS,any of them worth a look ? Were any of those widescreen ? Echo Bridge sometimes throws out a 16/9 transfer among those full frame sets.

I just got the disc from Wal-Mart and skimmed through the film. The transfer is pretty decent. It's a little murky, but better than the VHS. Think Lions Gate's Slaughter High DVD. It's not great, a little dark, but it looks better than that horrible cropped VHS. I'm pretty sure this new DVD is open matte.

It's a little bit more colorful than the VHS, but still not great.

Didn't a DVD distributor say that one of the reasons they wouldn't release the film was because the master Alliance had wasn't good? This seems to be the print they were referring to, as it has their logo in front of it.

I haven't watched any of the other films yet, but I might give 'em a spin pretty soon. Maybe one will surprise me. For 5 bucks, you can do much worse. Hell, the VHS fetches MUCH higher prices.

I've seen Hoboken Hollow and I thought it was terrible.

I tried to find it at amazon, but it is not there. They only offer the other three sets or the complete edition with all 4 DVDs but not the "Bloody Slasher" DVD with Curtains.

i checked 2 walmarts last night and found no curtains (although they had quite the selection in the home furnishings section) but was surprised to find the echo bridge re-release of puppet masters 1-3 that i didn't know was coming out...if anyone needs one (they had several) and can get the curtains pack for me, let me know!

It's this listing here (out of stock) on Amazon. They just don't have up any image or listings of the films it contains yet.

    Thanks Katatonia!
And it is the only that costs 9,99 $. They should really think about a separate release of Curtains.

Finished Curtains last night and it was pretty decent. Creepy mask, though.

Tried watching the other film on the same side as it, Secrets of the Clown, and it was so terrible I could only watch 5 minutes of it.

I was at Wal-Mart last night also, and while they had a spot for the Curtains pack it was sadly empty.

Anyone in Canada find this yet? I have it ordered from amazon.com but it's quite delayed.

I hate to rain on folks' parade, but even as a budget release I still found this to be pretty disappointing. It looked really dark and soft...often hard to tell what was going on. The doll dream sequence looked especially crappy. The image was constantly full of ghosting. Even at $5 this was a pretty big let down. I guess I have become used to budget sets like some of the recent ones from Mill Creek that are by no means stellar, but at least watchable. Watching this gave me a headache.

I'll just be glad to finally see this one. My parents wouldn't let me rent it when I was a young teen, then I could never find it when I got older. Can't believe it's taken this long to get even a just okay public domain release.

Sadly, my copy from deepdiscount has yet to arrive. :(

Crap, now I'll have to sift through all those craptacular multi movie packs at WalMart to find this.

It's on the Halloween DVD Display in the store. You don't have to dig through anything.
