I seem to remember that I got that one from you in the past on a trade, but this one looks slightly better color/contrast-wise.

Yeah, I thought you did. But the cropping guy - does it have the same cropping!

Trippy new avatar, but there's no wolf in it.....or is there?

It looks to be cropped the same. Maybe it's simply the same transfer with some contrast/color tinkering someone did.

    No wolf.

I picked it up at Wal-Mart for $5.00. Just watched all 4 movies, over the past few days, because my husband is not a big fan of Horror films. Curtains, the transfer was not the greatest, but I am happy that it is on DVD, the other 3 movies, where actually pretty good, and the transfer for excellent, for being a budget disc. The only gripe I have is that it's a DVD-18, which means that 2 movies are on one side, and you have to flip the disc for the other 2 movies, but still a great value. Can't complain about it.

This release is just a DVD-10: two films shoved on a single-layer for each side of the disc.

I wish Echo Bridge would release these types on seperate DVD-9 discs again like they used to, but that died with Platinum Disc unfortunately.

Yep, the Echo Bridge DVD looks like utter shit. :eek1: Glad I have a DVD-R transfer from the VHS too.

I happened to snag this one from K-Mart for about $5 (They also had The Gingerdead Man... haha). I was quite happy with the find, even though I knew that the transfer was shitty. Hell, I'm just glad to finally own this film, because it definitely stands above many other films of its type.

Yup, bad quality "Curtains" - not recommended. It's as bad as the Region 2 Curtains DVD. I tried upping the contrast and brightness of the Echo Bridge DVD, but it revealed all the MPEG compression blockiness and soft picture. It had good clear sound however.

I was pleased "Hoboken Hollow" was included in the set, one I remembered enjoying on Pay-TV.

Wanted to let you guys know that CURTAINS was shown at Retrofantasma at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, NC Friday. It was a double feature with THE BEAST WITHIN.

The print I saw had some flaws like heavy scratches during the beginning of some scenes, but looked good. Certainly better than the vhs/dvd releases. I know Erick H. is in the area too, maybe he attended the show?

It's funny because I never noticed the boom mike cameo in the doctor's office at the beginning.

Since the movie (if not the transfer) has gotten so much love here, I picked this up at K-mart last week. They had several copies. For $5 I figured I'd give it a shot.
