I've heard this was never intended to be seen outside of Italy (hence the lack of an English subtitled version).

Still, Argento's films have his trademark style, even outside of the horror genre (example: the ending of Once Upon a Time in the West is sooooooo Argento in style).

And he always hates his movies when he's done with them, often they're better than he thinks they are. Sigh. Friggin temperamental artists....

Xploited has had the Italian DVD for a while now and it is cheap:

Unfortunately as Paff says, it was never meant for viewing outside of Italy, so no subs or dubs in English. Until I get one with subs, I'll wait this one out. I would love to see it, but want to understand it.

I'd buy it if there were some English subtitles. I'm guessing the rights holders are limiting subtitling to try and negotiate more money for an English language release. A shame because, realistically, there's not much of a market for this film.

Beware, there is another German release of this movie from earlier this year which claims to have English audio (both on the box and the listing on Amazon.de) however I just got it in the mail and it does not! At least there are fansubs out there...
The back of the box reads:

    DD 1.0 (Deutsch) / DD 1.0 (Englisch)
    DD 1.0 (Italienisch)

I suppose the first line could mean that it's in German with some parts in English (whatever sense that would make...) but I haven't watched it yet and wouldn't know. I was suspicious of this even when I was ordering it but this is disappointing nonetheless.

I've seen this, very forgettable. Lacking early Dario style and even by Italian Westerns' standard, kind of boring.

Where can I find a fansub??? I have wanted to see this film in English for some time. It's the only Argento film I don't have an official release DVD of. I DL'd a Russian DVD file off Torrent, but of course it isn't subbed or dubbed.

They're over at opensubtitles.org. Hopefully you won't have to sync them but you never know...
