This is what I wrote/asked earlier:
    And this was the reply:
But now i read this review and lo and behold:
    Explain?:D
Ah well, include some water and an eerie atmos and you have Lovecraft right?;)

At the moment I'm out of money and won't buy this one. It's not at the top of the wishlist and frankly I think it's too "new" for me.
I want to explore the lost classics more first.
It won't fall off the radar I can assure you though :).

I'd say the film has a definite Lovecraftian vibe to it, at least some aspects of the film do. I think it's an excellent underrated film personally, quite atmospheric. I've only really ever seen the film in VHS quality however. The old R1 DVD put out by York (seperate and in a set) didn't exactly have a great transfer, so I look forward to seeing it with the new widescreen print.

I love this movie but it's nothing like Dagon except that there is a lot of water present. It's more reminiscent of The Church than anything else, IMO.

Man, I so busted up on the following line in the review:

Meanwhile the occasional malicious nun tries to shove her out a window or stab her

"Occasional malicious nun" - the guy should trademark that phrase!

I watched this Sunday but haven't written my review on it yet.

I thought it was fairly anti-climactic which is sad because the lead-up to it was pretty fucking awesome.

Wow, I can't wait to get my hands on that 2-Disc Limited Set!

This is one film that you really need to watch more than once to truly appreciate.

NoShame has once again delivered an outstanding package for a relatively obscure film. The deluxe 2-disc set is packed with extras, and the print used is clean and colorful. No one will be complaining about this disc. While watching Dark Waters I was reminded of Soavi, Bava, Argento, and Fulci which is the highest compliment you could give to a Euro-horror film.
Seeing this again after many years, I am impressed with this production, as Baino really put his heart into this feature. My only negative is the lead actress' wooden performance. Luckily there is very little dialogue in the picture so the lush visuals and music more than make up for that. Recommended. Overall package and content 8.5/10

I picked up the L.E. set at Hastings for $26 last evening.

This is a really excellent, well-done presentation I must say. The stone amulet replica is surprisingly high-quality, heavy-weight and can easily be hung on a wall. It does resemble stone, of course it's really not...but it comes close. The action figure in the Emilio Miraglia set was fairly cheap, but this one is actually worth it.

I just watched the short films and they were a tad predictable. I liked the cute girl in "Never Ever After," though. Anyway, "Dark Waters" is a great film.

I just checked this film out for the first time and wow that was great. It's just Dripping with atmosphere and creepy imagery. I love these nightmarish type horror films and will definitely be picking up the limited edition.

Just watched this one last weekend and really enjoyed it. I've heard mixed reviews about this film, but it delivered high on the creepiness and atmosphere factors. Not to mention the packaging is among the best I've ever seen. NoShame rocks!

Hey I just watched this movie and quite enjoyed its imagery. I was kind of lost with the plot though, and was hoping soemone could give me their interpretation of what this film was about.

What did the whole beginning with the priest dying and the kid handing the woman the statue all mean?
Why did the nuns kill Elizabeth's friend if she was just warning her not to come, wouldn't they not want her to come?
How come Sarah's body was covered in scars?
What is the demon in the basement, where did it come from?
What does all that mean with Elizabeth's mother really survivng, and with her eating the fish and the animal?
Were Elizabeth and Sarah demons like what was locked up? ect., ect.

I know most of the time horror movies don't make sense, but I was just curious if anybody had any thoughts or could make sense of what this whole movie was about!? I know I asked a lot of questions and I'm sure most cannot be explained, but if anyone can answer any of them that would be awesome. Thanks.
