This looks like crap, a low-budget remake of the original. Why is this thread in the "Classic" section?
Well the first Deep Blue Sea is probably one of the better killer shark movies after Jaws. I'm OK with that one being in "Classics". This sequel sounds like a massive waste of time and shouldn't be labled as such. I have zero desire to see it, that's for sure.
Bella's back lol I'll bite since I have the double feature dvd but man the 2nd film is terrible. At least from the trailer it looks better than part 2.
Ha ha I thought it looked good with decent production for a DTV shark movie. Compared to anything asylum or syfy suit out this looks like a masterpiece. Obviously just using the name for sales. But I will definitely have a look.
It just seems stale and boring to me. Give me some hot chicks in bikini's, blood and gore and I might be curious enough to check it out, but a plot about climate change and very well covered bodies (from what the trailer showed) doesn't sound fun. And yes, I know the original film didn't show much skin but it was also just a much better movie than these "in name only" sequels.
It each to their own. I can't take the chap gore and cgi of the asylum/syfi movies. I just want some decently produced shark killing, this looks like it might deliver that. With regards to story I can easily ignore that to be honest.
To be honest I don't watch those asylum/syfi movies either. I did watch the trailer again and it does have a few good looking shots sprinkled in there but just feels incredibly boring.
Movie aside for a second.... Still think it's funny that this is in the "classics" section. I mean Deep Blue See 2 is no Deep Blue See 1

Just watched 'deep blue sea 3'. It's not bad. It's not gonna set the world on fire or anything like that but it's fun. It's certainly better than the second with quite decent production values, some decent CGI, although there are a few shots that are a bit ropey (aren't there always). Acting wise the bad guy is pretty bad and the main lead shows no emotion in a quite hair raising scene (I believe it's due to post dubbing vocal, but that's no excuse) otherwise it's all serviceable. There's a bit of gore, nothing over the top, and one scene that reminded me of Samuel death in the first as it comes a little left field. If you like the previous two you will definitely find stuff to enjoy here.
Picked it up at Walmart along with a new blumhouse horror movie starring Kevin Bacon called you should have left on dvd no bluray release.
Deep Blue Sea 3 is a major improvement over the previous sequel. It's fast-paced, relatively fun, with decent CGI sharks and a few solid "jump out of your seat" moments. Kept me entertained for sure. Compared to your typical SyFy Channel shark movie, this is well above average. That said, I wouldn't say I enjoyed it as much as guilty pleasure fare like 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, Bait 3D, Shark Night 3D, etc. But I had fun with it, and honestly, it's probably closer to those than the SyFy fare. There's no point in comparing it to Renny Harlin's movie, so I won't even go there. If they can keep on this standard of quality for Deep Blue Sea 4, then I say keep these direct-to-video sequels coming.
DBS3 was fun! Plus Tania Raymonde. Tania Raymonde! Smoke show. Though I feel creepy lusting over her as I always remember her as the geeky girl from Malcolm In The Middle. But she did grow up into a hottie! As for the movie, nothing classic but yes major improvement over the second. I'm sure a fourth is bound to happen now.
