I was surprised to not see any threads on this little sleazy revenge flick. Demented from 1980 starring Sallee Young I actually found to be somewhat entertaining. I used to always see the VHS cover in the rental stores growing up but just never pulled the trigger. I finally sat down last night for my first viewing and can't believe this has not been released on DVD by someone somewhere along the way - rights issues? The only flaw is our lead actress' voice is pretty hard to endure - it's actually very annoying. However, if you can get past that I think you're in for a decent treat.

Ha - so the dood still has yet to watch it, pretty funny. Very similar feelings/thoughts as myself for not watching it up until now. I didn't realize Netflix had it - I wonder hat the quality was like.

I rented this on VHS back in 1984. Me and my cousins watched it 3 times in a row. I remember we liked it but it wasn't too scary or bloody. I picked up a DVDr and watched it again recently. In this case, the memory was better than the actual movie. Everyone should see it once, though, and i would buy a remastered DVD if it got a proper release.

This was available on netflix instant for a while...no longer though. A trashy flick that stayed with me. For some I reason I found it kind of scarier than other movies of it's kind...maybe because she does go so crazy by the end.

If I remember correctly this film was made or produced by people from the porn business, which makes it hard to locate or obtain the rights. I think Bill from Code Red said something like that.
I enjoyed the movie, it is kinda entertaining. They certainly don't make them like this anymore.

I believe Sandy Cobe was the producer and also involved with Terror On Tour and Home Sweet Home, neither of which are on DVD sadly

I watched it on Netflix Streaming last year and really enjoyed it. Its a revenge flick with a 70's roughie feel. It does slow down quite a bit in the middle but the final 30 minutes are gold. Definitely worth tracking down. VHS rips can be found on DVD-R from the usual places.

I was captivated by the box art as a teenager, but found the movie itself pretty average and dull at times.

Demented, Terror On Tour, and Home Sweet Home are all owned by MGM, unfortunately.

Yeah, its no Act of Vengeance... its actually a pretty dull rape/revenge affair up until the end where she goes completely batshit...it actually slants into pretty creepy territory when that happens.
