hopefully this one will be better than the last. land of the dead wasn't bad, but it doesn't have the feel of his older ones.

As embarrassing as this film may turn out to very well be... must do some detective work and try to get in on this as a zombie extra... to be continued...

I dunno... this sounds awful to me. But I will go to see it nonetheless. It should be entertaining, at the very least.

I don't know, I wasn't too impressed before, but now my interest is peaked a bit. It sounds like it's going to be old school romero, with no money and no CGI.

I kinda liked the idea of LAND OF THE DEAD being the start of a new trilogy but with the same characters through out.

I'm a bit disappointed that is not happening.

As for this ... well ... I am a Romero fan but really ... not sure what to make of this.

The good news is that he (Romero) definitely seems to have a clear strong point he wishes to make with this film and it does seem that being more low budget will hopefully give him total and utter control plus the chance to push the gore to the max so ...

    It very well may work.

I still would love to see more LAND OF THE DEAD though ...

I expect it to be good, but I don't expect my mind to be blown by it. He's a little old as a filmmaker to offer up any new surprises, and I'm a little too old of a fan to be surprised by anything he offers, but I'm sure it'll be a great time. :)

I'm pumped! I'm planning on going down to the Festival of Fears this August in TO, and can't wait to meet Romero and Argento!

Is this legit? Curses more than I remember Romero ever doing.

LAND OF THE DEAD was one of the worst horror movies I've wasted 20 minutes on. I have no desire to see this or any other future output from Romero. He should give up.

William Friedkin proved with Bug that a man in his 70s can make a self-defining masterpiece if he's an inherently gifted filmmaker. Romero is as well.

Although Romero is my favorite director, Land of the Dead was pure shit. Like someone said before, he's a bit old and I don't know if he can churn out something new and fresh.

None the less I'll see this on opening weekend if its playing in my area.

That's good to hear. I'll be sure and check it out. I do prefer to keep my expectations reasonably low, however, so as to not get too disappointed. It generally works out for the best that way. :)

what i miss from romeros zombie films and which was missing from land of the dead was a scene, regardless of how brief, where the survivors are holed up in a room and in the background is a grainy black and white tv newcast and the commentators say dr could you tell us what to expect next in the battle against the undead? i guess what i mean is a scene where there is no constant blur of action but an explanation for the zombies regardless of how nonsensical it is.

People would be in love with this if Rob Zombie or Eli Roth was doing it. Land of the Dead was awesome and I can't wait to see this new adventure.

I liked LOTD. Sure, it's nowhere near the other Dead films but I felt it was a rush of adrenaline to the horror film genre, at least when it came out.
