I don't regret not buying any of those early Anchor Bay releases. At best they were only mastered with laserdisc in mind (thus the non-anamorphic nature of most of them). I bought all of them on VHS upon first release and that's good enough for me until the inevitable time somebody goes back and does them right.

I had FOTA in my hands at a "Borders" and decided to buy something else and pick it up later, and then it was gone and took me 2 years before i found a copy. Not a big deal as the new copy at the time was $14.99 and the used copy was around $9.99 but it was the regret of missing it and wiating forever before snagging it!!

I picked one up just before it got really scarce - only to find mine has a small crack on the QatP disk, right at the hub. Doesn't touch the media surface, and I had no problems playing it, but I figure the rotational stresses of the DVD player aren't worth putting it into the machine frequently.

Never did find any way to seal the crack before it gets worse, so I ended up picking up the R2 versions of the films instead. *sigh*

Someone sold back a copy of AB's Sword & The Sorceror, which our system shows as being OOP. DVD Aficionado lists it as still in print, however. Who knows? Only cost me a few bucks.

I snagged X: The Man With X-Ray Eyes only to sell it on eBay for a few bucks, full well knowing I'll be getting that Roger Corman boxed set in a few months.

Hm - the Sci-Fi classic set. The one with The Mole People and Monolith monster. I'm willing to go to $100, but STILL can't find it.

I just checked Amazon third party sellers. The lowest selling price currently is $180.00. Damn! I regret not grabbing that when in circulation. Tarantula was the film I wanted most.

Didn't care to make the same mistake with Volume 2, so I bought that collection two weeks ago.

Thanks for the tip. Didn't realize those are available in R2. I'm sure glad to be region free!

They're both great prints too. If those are the ones you want - you're okay. ;)

Someone must be willing to accept a cool $100 on their $20 investment. :D

Getting tempting to just dub these and sell, but I can't break up my set now that I have V2.:(
Wish I would've bought a couple extra copies when they were readily available. I waited until they went on sale for a second time before getting the first set, then a couple weeks later they were all gone.
Not being able to find one for $100 is fucking insane though, they can't be that scarce. There were almost 100 copies in the fucked up BB here at one point. In fact, there were probably 3-4 dozen the week before they all disappeared. Not sure if someone bought them up or if BB just pulled and returned them.
Universal is going to see what's going on with the after-market and re-issue these somehow I would think. I know if I was running the company I'd press some more, throw on a different package and watch my bonus go up.:)

Dead and Buried LE 2 disc, Day of the Dead 2 disc. These were sitting on store shelves for so long at one point that I kept putting off picking them up. Now I'm really sorry I did. Same thing with Near Dark 2 disc.

Keep checking any and all Gamestops in your area, I see these at the GS's here from time to time. In fact, there's a copy of Two Evil Eyes LE that's been sitting at one for around 4-5 months now.
None today, but if I see one in the near future I'll pick it up for ya. With their return policy it's no big deal if you already found one as you/I/anyone can return anything for any reason, including if the movie just sucks.:)
