The other day I wasn't excited for this but that teaser convinced me. Looks awesome!

Ummm... I'm stunned. I don't know what to say. I'm drawn to it, but not willing to embrace it yet.

Yeah, it looks like typical remake crud to me. I wasn't too impressed based on that trailer.

Not sure how I feel about the imagery, but, damn, I wanna hear teaser in some good audio fidelity. The sound editing was great and brutal.

It looks like it could have a lot of potential

It does look like it might have potential but one thing we've all learned from being life long horror fans is to take Trailers with a grain of salt. We'll see.

Like any remake/reboot I'll hold my judgement until it's seen, but I'm glad the tone is no where near infringing on Sam Raimi's style and they are doing something different with it, although it does look like it's going towards more of a torture porn route... but we'll see...

I'm excited, this looks more deliciously graphic than the original with the same atmospheric setting. Fingers crossed this does well and reignites interest in 80s style horror.

This looks far more artistic than we're used to seeing in theatrical films. Part of it is redux fodder ho-hum, and the rest is visually appealing and dare I say, I might be looking forward to this!

It has the aesthetic of a typical contemporary remake, but I don't mind it.

Here's the thing: I don't mind remakes if they take the premise and do their own thing with it. Texas Chainsaw, Dawn Of The Dead, both fun remakes. Hills Have Eyes, The Omen, absolute chore to sit through.

Here's what this trailer looks like:
    - Group of friends go to cabin in the woods.
    - Cellar door.
    - Clock spins on it's own.
    - Guy reads chant that awakens demons.
    - Bridge is gone.
    - Character cuts off own hand.
    - Woman violated by trees (if they dare to go there).

Honestly, I just don't fucking care.

Part of the joy of the first films was the practical effects, and this doesn't even look like it has that going for it.

Huh? I don't know which trailer you watched but most of the effects from the blurry leaked trailer looked like they were done practically to me...

Alvarez, the director, made this statement saying no GGI used: http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2012/10/bootleg-evil-dead-trailer-is-bloody-blurry

Must be that over-saturated Platinum Dunes look giving me that impression then.

    Regardless, it looks awful.

Evil Dead is one of my top 10 movies of all time, but this looks great, and much more promising that I would dare to dream of :)

The style of the make-up on the deadites are very different, but in a good way.
Love the style of the camera movement etc.
You can tell Sam is producing this ;)

The trailer did give me a Boogeyman vibe.
