They showed the first episode at NYCC and I could have saw it. No regrets, though. X-Files ended at 2:30 and there was no way we would get into a 3:00 Evil Dead panel. It had to be one or the other. Three month wait for X-Files or three week wait for Evil Dead. No brainer. Plus they didn't announce the episode was airing for Evil Dead, though it was strongly hinted at.

Anway, I'm likely going to be subscribing to Starz just to watch this. But I'm curious if there's any way for me to get counted in the ratings? I was hoping they have a streaming service but they don't. My son and I are planning a Halloween Evil Dead marathon with the conclusion being this TV show.

Blunt Talk on Starz is uneven but has a few memorable episodes and Patrick Stewart.

You know they're doing exactly that, right? Running all three Evil Dead movies before the premiere?

Sure, you have all the Blus already, I'd assume, but isn't there something nostalgic about watching a horror marathon where the schedule is dictated by the TV station itself? It was the way we used to do it when cable channels or independent stations did that back in the day.

I didn't know that. I assume AOD is included? Seems like they don't have rights to reference or use AOD, at least in the show itself. But not, I just assume watch the blus rather than the channel itself.

Does STARZ offer any sort of per episode streaming service? Or, will these be available on iTunes or anywhere else? Hulu? I am canceling my cable this week per my move and want to be sure I support this show!

I lol'd at the Hi-C bit. This looks amazing.

I'm doing my own Evil Dead marathon before the show (just watched the first Evil Dead last night) but I'll also catch some of the marathon on Starz mostly because of Bruce hosting. That and as Paff said, there's just something special about watching these on tv.

Sadly, no. I'm signing up for Friday. I have a small local cable company and they are offering a promo right now - any premium channel frewbfor a month. Sweet.

    Awesome!

Does anyone know if these are a full 30 minutes or the typical 23 minutes? Does Starz have commercials for their shows?

Even at 23 minutes we are looking at 460 minutes of Evil Dead goodness. Amazing.

No commercials, so I would imagine it would be 30 mins. I think the first episode directed by Raimi is 45 mins.

Too bad they're not an hour long.

I read the interview where Raimi explained 60 mins is too long for the slapstick humor and excessive gore they are going for. I think he is right. More isn't always better.

Plus an hour show on a network is 43 minutes. We are only getting ripped by 13 mins.

Did they give you Starz On Demand too? Because if they did, be sure to check out Magic City, Black Sails, & DaVinci's Demons too while you have it.
