That's just the two-film House set, the still in print North American set. The Joker is looking for the Arrow UK House Collection which has all four films - which as he pointed out is $186 CAD on Amazon.ca.
Aw, hell, I forgot about that part of your story. It'll probably get stolen off my front porch anyway.
They're the ones who evidently lost my order, or at the very least, never delivered it. And they don't provide tracking.
To be fair, tracking isn't a common feature for international shipping, unless you're paying a premium for expedited shipping. That being said, Asendia can be a crapshoot, in my experience, as opposed to comparable shipping options such as Royal Mail. I had three packages ship from amazon.co.uk via Asendia on 04/24/2017. One arrived 05/04/2017 (my replacement order for Fright Night), one arrived on 05/05/2017 and the last arrived on 05/10/2017. I have no idea why all three didn't arrive at the same time, but they were at least within Amazon's estimated timeframe. Now my original order for Fright Night, though, shipped on 03/29/2017 via Asendia and never arrived, at least not at my address. In fact, it turns out that the package somehow wound up getting routed back to Amazon.co.uk... who apparently received it on 05/09/2017. I can only speculate what happened and why it took a month and a half only to wind up right back where it started.
Late to the conversation. I ordered from Amazon UK early this year and everything arrived nicely packed and at a reasonable time. It took a while, about 2 1/2 weeks from shipping to my house. I currently have a pre order with them too but that won't arrive until July. So I hope that will go smoothly too.
I ordered the Arrow Phantasm box set and Phenomena and both took only 3-4 days to arrive in separate orders. I've NEVER had a shipment from the U.K. make it to Canada that fast. Phenomena shipped Sunday and arrived Wednesday. Totally mint too, I couldn't believe it. ~Matt
Honestly the problem appears to be specific to the House Complete Collection set. I think Amazon UK underestimated the demand and oversold without confirming their stock. Now they're scrambling, losing orders, etc. I'm picturing a Keystone Cops short with circus music.
Yeah, I'd love to know what happened to all those missing House sets (mine included). If you read through the thread in the UK forum on Blu-ray.com there are many more people with the same story: ordered (or pre-ordered) when the set was in stock and received a shipping confirmation, only for the package to never arrive. I'm highly skeptical that these missing shipments ever actually left the Amazon UK warehouse. Maybe they were seized by customs and secreted away in a Raiders of the Lost Ark-style repository? Perhaps, instead of properly region-coding the discs, Arrow randomly implanted explosive devices that would cause the parcel to combust if transported outside the UK territory? All of these scenarios make more sense than for multiple shipments of the same specific item to seemingly vanish into thin air.
Damn, I just got a shipping confirmation yesterday (after ordering over a month ago) but reading this I'm worried it won't show up.
Considering it seems to be sold out now I fail to see where these copies they're are currently shipping are coming from... Hopefully you do get it though.
Damn their UK releases always sell out so fast. Phenomena is already sold out too, Donnie Darko sold out in the pre-orders, but you can still get the North American release, as well as House: Two Stories. Is it worth checking out House 3 and 4? I'm kind of only interested in the first two. ~Matt
Phenomena doesn't appear to be sold out. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Phenomena-...UTF8&qid=1494687446&sr=1-1&keywords=phenomena
So sick and tired of this Limited Edition game. Remember back in the day, when a Limited Edition could be around 30.000-100.000 copies.
Oh nice. It was sold out a few days ago, but yeah it's crazy how fast this stuff usually sells out. ~Matt
